Meet Bruno the Boxer🐾
Bruno has been coming to our clinic for just over 2 years now!
When Bruno first came, he was a bit nervous and could be a bit jumpy during his examinations.... BUT NOW, Bruno is excited for his visits and is a breeze. With the use of stress free measures, such as his lickimat and building a trust with the nurse and vets, Bruno is now no trouble at all and even has no idea when he is getting his needles!
Time, patience and a stress free environment has allowed patients like Bruno to build trust with us here at the clinic and even allowed them to be excited for their visits to the vet (who could even imagine😮)

When puppies come in for their vaccines, we aim to make the visit as calm and stress free as possible. With the use of treats, lickimats, lots of pats and a quiet environment it makes their first vet visits a positive experience 🐶

Canine Parvovirus

Vaccinating your pet against contagious and potentially fatal diseases is vital.
Canine parvovirus is a disease that is most common in young dogs. The virus attacks the intestines causing bloody diarrhoea, uncontrollable vomiting and severe abdominal pain. Some infected dogs will die from parvovirus, even if they receive intensive veterinary care.

Parvovirus is spread via dog faeces and is very persistent in the environment even after the faeces has been cleaned away. For this reason, it is not necessary to have direct contact with other dogs for the disease to be spread.

The veterinarians at the clinic are Dr John Beadle and Dr Hannah Beadle. John has been practicing in Broome for 30 years and has recently been joined by his daughter Hannah, a 2022 Murdoch University Graduate. John and Hannah bring a combination of experience and contemporary veterinary knowledge to the practice.
