A lovely, relaxed ride for Tilly this morning 🤎

Tilly worked beautifully long and low, remaining soft, calm and relaxed throughout her ride. At Brooklyn Park Equine, we love encouraging our horses to stay soft and responsive without feeling rushed or tense.

Long reining plays an important role in our training, helping horses understand softness, balance and responsiveness before carrying those foundations into their ridden work.

Tilly has the loveliest quiet temperament and is certainly in no hurry—she enjoys taking life in the slow lane! She will be coming up for sale shortly, so keep an eye on our page for further details 🐴🤎

Today was all about bonding and building trust with our sweet Priscilla 🤎

Priscilla is the more nervous of our two new ponies, so we’re taking everything slowly and allowing her to become comfortable with us at her own pace. Today’s session focused on quiet handling, gentle reassurance and simply spending positive, pressure-free time together.

Trust on the ground is incredibly important, especially for a nervous pony. Before asking for anything under saddle, we want Priscilla to feel safe, relaxed and confident with her handler. A strong foundation on the ground helps create clearer communication, mutual respect and a happier, more willing pony.

There’s no need to rush—sometimes the smallest moments of trust are the biggest steps forward. We’re so proud of Priscilla and look forward to watching her confidence continue to grow at Brooklyn Park Equine. 🐴🤎

🌸• SCHOOL HOLIDAY HORSE EXPERIENCES • 🌸

Looking for a fun and memorable activity these school holidays?

Brooklyn Park Equine is offering relaxed, hands-on Meet, Groom & Ride sessions for children and families who would love the opportunity to spend time with horses.

We offer:

🤎 Individual sessions
🤎 Group sessions
🤎 Children’s sessions
🤎 Family sessions for the whole family to enjoy together

Each one-hour session includes:

🤎 Meeting and patting the horses
🪮 Learning how to groom
🐴 Enjoying a gentle led ride
📸 Plenty of photo opportunities

No previous horse experience is required. Our sessions are designed to be welcoming and enjoyable, especially for children and families who don’t normally have the opportunity to experience horses.

📍 Located in Balliang, conveniently close to Lara, Geelong, Melton, Wyndham, Eynesbury and Bacchus Marsh.

We’re very excited to introduce two adorable new faces to Brooklyn Park Equine 🤎🐴

Meet Priscilla in the blue halter and Princess in the purple halter!

These two sweet ponies have recently arrived at Brooklyn Park Equine for some much-deserved TLC, time to settle in and get feeling their best. Once they’re ready, they’ll gradually come back into work with a focus on furthering their education, building confidence and working towards becoming safe, reliable and suitable children’s ponies.

Our goal will be to give both girls the time, consistency and experiences they need before eventually helping them find their perfect forever homes.

So far, both Priscilla and Princess have shown themselves to be incredibly friendly, affectionate and just absolutely adorable. We’re really looking forward to getting to know their personalities and sharing their progress along the way.

Today we had the lovely Kassidy join us for one of our Horse Experience Sessions, and safe to say she absolutely loved every minute of it. 🤎🐴

Her mum told us afterwards that Kassidy had the best time and kept saying it was her “dream come true” — which is exactly why we love offering these sessions.

Our beautiful Bear did such a wonderful job looking after her and was more than happy to spend the session being brushed, patted, cuddled and absolutely loved on by Kassidy. 🥹🤍

Our Horse Experience Sessions are perfect for children and families who love horses but don’t have the opportunity to be around them day-to-day. You don’t need to own a horse, have riding experience or know anything about horses — these sessions are all about giving people the chance to slow down, meet one of our beautiful horses and enjoy that special experience for themselves.

Sessions can include brushing, patting, learning some basic horse care, plenty of photo opportunities and time in the saddle being led around at a comfortable pace.

We recently had the pleasure of helping Phillip transport his horse, who had previously taken over an hour to load and unfortunately injured himself during the process.

With patience, calm handling and no rushing, we had him safely loaded within just 15 minutes and were able to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both horse and owner.

Brooklyn Park Equine in Balliang is now offering private horse riding experiences for complete beginners, primarily focused on teenagers and adults.

You DO NOT need to be a horse person, and you don’t need any previous riding or horse-handling experience. These experiences are specifically designed to be relaxed, private and welcoming for everyday people who simply want to experience what it’s like to meet, handle and ride a horse. 🐴

🤎 Your experience can include:
• Meeting and getting comfortable with your horse
• Learning how to safely approach and handle a horse
• A private one-on-one riding experience
• An experienced handler with you throughout
• Riding in a safe, supervised designated riding area
• Helmets provided

🤎 Tilly 🤎

Our gorgeous grulla Highland x Quarter Horse pony mare, Tilly, has been going beautifully under saddle and continues to impress us with her incredibly quiet and easy-going nature.

She is definitely more woah than go — a genuine little plodder type who is happy to take things at her own pace and has been lovely and sensible to ride. 🐴

Her beautiful grulla colouring, sweet nature and laid-back attitude make her a very special little mare.

Tilly will be coming onto the market soon, so keep your eyes peeled for more information on this lovely girl! 👀🤎
