Pisces Group Australia is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our growing ornamental aquarium fish team.
Pisces is Australia’s largest ornamental aquarium fish producer, supplying the pet and aquarium industries country-wide. Located in quiet leafy Brookfield, we have been operating for over 50 years, and continue to be a family owned and run business.
If you are passionate about aquariums and fish keeping, and are looking to take your hobby to the next level, Pisces is the place for you! Work with our in-house marine biologists and experienced production managers and learn how the market leaders produce fish on a commercial scale.
This position is ideal for anyone looking for a career in professional ornamental fish production and husbandry, with plenty of opportunities for career progression.
Good knowledge of freshwater aquarium fish is preferable, but not essential.
About the role:
The successful applicant;
will be fully trained to identify, pick and pack hundreds of varieties of ornamental fish
will be fully trained in ornamental fish husbandry and production techniques
should understand the importance of safety in the workplace and adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and your team
must have attention to detail, and be willing to learn
must be able to work well both in a team, and at times unsupervised.
must be able to follow directions enthusiastically
must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week), with occasional over-time (with loading) to ensure all daily tasks are completed.
Will receive superannuation and leave loading in their pay
Must be reliable, prompt and hard working
must have their own means of transport as public transport is unreliable.
Please note: this job requires working in heated commercial greenhouses, and it is essential that you are capable of working in warm, humid environments.
