My daughter and her Pony “Prince Napoleon” jumping their way “Barefoot” to Nationals Championships held in Tamworth this September. Napoleon is on a “2 weekly trim cycle” & 2-4 week body work cycle to keep up this level of competition… a mixture of walking hills, lunging poles, grid for gymnastics and very minimal height jumping is his weekly workout routine. He’s competed the best he’s ever competed. 🌟 these small changes has made a huge difference to his overall performance. As my trimming takes a back step for outside clients I want to make the point of how I believe important it is that horse owners need to learn more about what their farriers are doing and not doing. Learning to trim myself has benefited my own horses so much on short trims cycles that I wish all horse owners could learn to trim. It’s the best thing I’ve done in my life for my horses.
