A huge congratulations 🎉 to our latest students who have completed their training for the ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services – Pet Grooming specialisation. 🐩

This is a nationally recognised qualification and a fantastic achievement for each student. Throughout their training, they have developed practical skills in dog grooming, safe animal handling, bathing, drying, brushing, styling, workplace safety, and professional animal care.

We also want to apologise for the delay in sharing this post. It has been a very busy month with courses, students, and training across the Academy, but we did not want to miss the opportunity to recognise and celebrate this achievement.

Well done to everyone who completed their training. We are so proud of your hard work, commitment, and the progress you have made throughout your course.

We’re excited to officially welcome our newest group of students to the ACM40322 Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training (Dog Trainer)!

A big shoutout to Sam, Leonardo, Kristy, Marcus and Brad 👏 — you’ve hit the ground running and are already doing an amazing job!

Over the coming weeks, these students will be developing the skills, knowledge and hands-on experience needed to become confident, professional dog trainers. From understanding canine behaviour to applying real-world training techniques, their journey is well underway 🐕✨

Our dog grooming students are taking their skills to the next level — learning the art of hand stripping for wire-coated breeds! 💪✨

Hand stripping is an essential skill for any nationally qualified dog groomer, helping maintain the correct coat texture, colour, and condition for breeds like Terriers and Schnauzers. It’s a hands-on technique that requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of coat care — and it’s one that truly sets professional groomers apart.

Unfortunately, most non-accredited grooming courses skip this vital skill altogether, simply teaching that shaving is “good enough.” But at Pet Stylist Academy, we believe that true professionals should understand and apply every aspect of breed-standard grooming. 🏆
