And honestly, I don’t know if I’ll ever overcome it.
I know so much more than I did when I started building this. But the more I learn, the more I seem to doubt myself and wonder if I actually have what it takes.
If you’ve ever started something of your own, you might know these thoughts all too well:
That you’re not qualified enough to be doing this. That everyone else has it figured out except you. That one bad day will undo everything. That you’ve put your family’s money and time on the line. That people will realise you’re making it up as you go. That you’ll give it everything and it still won’t work.
What I do know is that I love that I’ve created something that gets us out more with our dogs, with the things on hand that make those adventures more organised and prepared. I love that even at 41, I’m still prepared to blow up my life and try something different. I love that I’ve never seen this as a get rich option and it’s always been about building something I can truly back and hopefully one day being more time rich. And I love that my dog inspired all of this.
But I’m about to place my third bulk order of the Adventure Pouch and I still don’t know where this is going some days. I struggle more than I don’t. I find it hard to wear all the hats, and if you catch me at a certain week in any given month, I’ll happily throw the towel in on the whole thing.
The feedback, the reviews, the encouragement and the support from you guys truly means the world, and some days it’s the only reason I show up. I just never want anyone to think it’s all rainbows and butterflies over here. It’s hard. I grew up in a generation where we were told to choose our hard, and this is mine. But as much as I want this, sometimes I truly just can’t be fu**ed.
Yours in pure honesty,
Kayla x
