Chilli Babes Dachshunds - our story

Breeder of short haired Miniature Dachshunds, various colours, size ranging from 4kg full adult weight (under 5kg true miniatures as per ANKC guidelines) through to 6kg full adult weight. Chilli is a miniature smooth short haired black & tan dachshund born 12/02/2016. She is quite petite and comes from true miniature purebred dachshund lines. Her adult weight is a mere 4.5kg. Her tan mother weighs approx. 4kg and her chocolate & tan father weighs just under 5kg. Chilli is very gentle, quiet natured, timid with strangers (both skin and fur), intelligent, extremely well behaved, and was just so darn easy to train! We actually believe she's an old soul who's been on this earth in another life, as she has definitely done all this before! She has a need to know about everything going on around her, so tends to follow you around everywhere you go. She also perches herself on the top of the lounge, which gives her prime position to survey the entire living area of the house and watch everything that’s happening! Chilli enjoys being outside in the sun, running around in her large backyard or at the beach with her fur siblings; swimming in the family pool or in the calm waters around the Gold Coast; and lazy Sunday brunches at her favourite spot, the Coffee Club, where she partakes of her very own special puppychino! Lucy is a smooth short haired red (ee cream) dachshund born 23/02/2018. She weighs 6kg and is what’s known as a “tweenie”. Lucy’s black & tan mother weighs 5kg and her red (ee cream) father weighs 7kg. Lucy is an extremely gentle, quiet natured girl who is very loving and very snuggly/cuddly with people she knows (which doesn’t take long!). She has a bit of a tomboy streak about her at times, and enjoys playing little games with you. She also enjoys her quiet times, in solitude just lazing about in the sun, doing what Lucy wants to do. She is great with strangers (both skin and fur), intelligent, and extremely well behaved. Lucy enjoys being outside in the sun, running around in her large backyard or at the beach with her fur siblings; she loves the water, be it in the family pool, being sprayed by the hose, or swimming in the calm waters around the Gold Coast; she also enjoys lazy Sunday brunches at the Coffee Club, where she partakes of her very own special puppychino too! Molly is a smooth short haired red (choc) dachshund born 27/09/2018. She is one of Chilli’s puppies. Molly weighs 4.2kg, so is even smaller than her petite black & tan mother Chilli who weighs 4.5kg and her smooth short haired red (choc) father who weighs 4.9kg. She is extremely timid and very very shy around strangers (skin), however she loves being with other fur kids that are not a part of her immediate family. She thoroughly enjoys laptime as she loves to snuggle into you, and can often be found asleep in the most unusual places, like on top of the laundry pile, under a blanket or towel left lying around, or with her face buried in the lounge chair! Molly enjoys being outside in the sun, running around in her large backyard or at the beach with her fur siblings, and can be a little mischievious at times ; she is a water baby and tends to dive into the family pool whether you’re ready for her or not; she loves going out in the car on new adventures; and like her fursisters, she also enjoys her very own special puppychino during our lazy Sunday brunches at the Coffee Club! We are not ANKC registered breeders, therefore our girls and their litters are also not ANKC registered. We are a registered breeder with our local Gold Coast City Council, and abide by their Breeders Code of Conduct, which can be sighted on the website. We also hold a Qld Government Supply Number (BIN = Breeders Identification Number), as required by law for any person who is selling, advertising or giving away a dog. Even though we are not associated or registered with any ANKC State Body, we do abide by their breeding rules and regulations. Our main priority is for the welfare of all our puppies, big and small. Our girls have been raised inside our family home, where they live, eat, sleep, play, and are able to come and go (inside/outside) as they please. They have a very large secure backyard where they play, laze in the sun, and enjoy time together running around with each other. Our girls are not just family pets, they are family members, and are treated just like any other family member in our home. All puppies are treated the same; they are born and raised in our family home, they are handled by our immediate family members from a very young age, they are showered with hugs and kisses whilst being given lots of love, and they are very well socialised in preparation for their adoption to their forever families. We will only allow our puppies to be adopted into loving forever homes, where they will live inside your family home, be an important member of your loving family, and where they will be free to come and go (secure yard) as they please. The cost of each puppy is individually quoted, as each one is unique in their own right. Once your Application for Adoption is approved, a non-refundable deposit is required immediately to secure the puppy of your choice. Until your deposit is paid in full, your puppy is available for adoption by another suitable applicant.
