...Friday comes with no Fact Friday. Honestly everyone, today started before 5am which is way too early for me. Just been stressful. Nothing piggy related. But its been a day, I'm about ready for bed. Please enjoy gorgeous Spud and Tofu being cute. ☺️

...Thursday comes with answers to the many questions I've been getting via message lately. So here's the frequent questions and there answers in regards to Whisky.
Is he available for adoption? No.
Will you sell him? Still no.
How much would you sell him for? He's not for sale at any price.
If I offered you up $100 would you sell him? No, no price is gonna make me sell him.
Are you going to breed him? No.
Can I breed him? No.
Would he be able to procreate? Probably, but i won't be finding out.
How old is he? Around 6 years old.
Why won't you sell him? Hes a roan/dalmatian and if bred could bring more lethal whites into the world and he is an older boy and him and his friend are apart of our family and are well loved and happy here.
So no, I will not be rehoming Whisky or his friend Marshmallow. So please stop messaging and asking. Yes he has gorgeous colouring, we get it.

Guinea pigs lack sweat glands. Instead of sweating, they pump warm blood into their ears to act like natural radiators. Because this cooling mechanism isn't highly effective, they are very sensitive to temperature changes and easily suffer from heatstroke.
How They Stay Cool -
Radiating Ears:
Blood vessels in their ears dilate to shed excess heat. Their ears will often look pinker and feel noticeably warm when they are trying to cool down or feeling happy.
No Panting:
Unlike dogs, they don't usually pant. Instead, you might notice them drooling slightly or grooming themselves to create evaporative cooling.
Ideal Environment:
Since they are so vulnerable to overheating, their ideal environment requires close climate control. Temperature:
Keep their environment between 18 degrees and 24 degrees.
Critical Danger:
Temperatures above 26 degrees can lead to life-threatening heatstroke.
Safety Tips:
During hot days, you can keep them comfortable by using set up air conditioning, placing frozen water bottles wrapped in towels in their cages, or offering ceramic tiles for them to lie on.
During cold days, you can keep them warm by having plenty of hay, fleece hides, having blanket over their cage and even by setting up a heater.
