Through wet, blurry eyes we said goodbye to our incredible Sophie today 😭😭

Soph is off to focus on her zoology studies and we couldn’t be more supportive and proud of her for chasing her dreams. đŸ€©

While our Woolies order for lollies may be significantly smaller, the space she’s leaving in this place is significantly larger. Our hearts, the hearts of our clients and the hearts of our patients are going to have a big gaping hole in them in her absence.

Thank you for every bit of love, kindness, compassion and hard work you gave this place, Soph. We know you’ll end up doing incredible things for wildlife and the environment out there (you already are!) and we are going to miss you more than words can say.

It’s not goodbye, it’s more of a see you soon ❀

If your bud isn’t feeling their best while we’re off having fun, the closest emergency vet is AEC Stones Corner on 07 3456 0500. If you’re concerned, we’re concerned, so don’t hesitate to give them a call.

We’re not saying Amelia has settled in quickly
 but we’re also not convinced she wasn’t secretly working here this whole time. 👀

Meet Amelia, our new People Person! 💛

She joins us with experience from both inside and outside the veterinary world, but what you’ll notice first is her warmth. She’s a professional yapper, always up for a laugh, and has the kind of energy that makes you feel welcome before she’s even said hello properly. Don’t be surprised if you find her sitting on the floor making friends with your dog, winning over your cat, or offering you and your bud a treat from the lolly jars.

Outside the clinic, Amelia will tell you herself: she’s basically a grandma. Craft project on the go, good book within arm’s reach, and any spare moment spent with her animals.

If you’re in over the next little while, make sure you say hello. We have a feeling you’ll love her just as much as we already do đŸŸ

Today we say goodbye to our gorgeous Liv with heavy, but incredibly supportive hearts 😭đŸ„ș

Liv is off to begin an exciting new opportunity in a different field, and while we’re so proud of her, we’re going to miss her warmth and light more than we can put into words.

While she’ll always be part of the Hey Bud story, and we’ll be cheering her on from the sidelines every step of the way, it’s going to feel a little strange not seeing her smiley face around the clinic each day.

Thank you Liv, for caring so deeply about our buds, their families, and our team. You’ve left your mark on this little place and we’ll always be grateful for the chapter we got to share with you.

We’ll miss you endlessly, but we can’t wait to see where this next adventure takes you.

When people ask us why we love our job

We won’t lie, part of it is definitely the endless access to puppy cuddles 👀 But it’s also the suspicious lumps, skin infections, ultrasounds, ex-laps, weeping eyes, funny tummies and anything & everything in between. Our days are an ever evolving mix of problem-solving, intuition, curiosity, and connection and we’re endlessly fascinated by all of it!

Maybe cleaning p**p and knowing the peculiar smell of a**l glands isn’t for everyone
but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Because getting to help the four-legged mates that make our lives infinitely better? Thats something pretty special to us đŸ„č
