2024 was a big year for everyone.
As everyone knows, MydnytBlue was the prefix under which I first became a breeder with my mother in 2016. And its been one hell of a journey since then. And in MydnytBlue's final year in 2023 a few short weeks after our first litter of Yakutian Laika were born, my mother sadly passed away.
But we all pressed on, for her.
And this year for the first and last time, MydnytBlue was awarded DogzOnline Pointscore Conformation Breeder of the Year & Performance Breeder of the Year for our and our puppy owners collective efforts in both the conformation ring, and within sports. We also came away with an outstanding award for Aust Ch Mydnytblue Twist And Shout. This boy who we call Kolo is co owned by Caitlin Crosby and myself Brandon Dodd, and handled by Caitlin Crosby.
We have the honour of announcing that Kolo was awarded Number 1 Yakutian Laika in the breed challenge and rising star competition in Australia and Queensland! Drift was also awarded number 1 rising star for Western Australia and Vlad number 1 rising star for New South Wales.
Congratulations to our puppy owners participating in sports for your major achievements. We saw three of our MydnytBlue puppies along with their sire earn a title in SprintDog, with Aust Ch MydnytBlue Talk Of The Town N.SPRD owned and handled by Cindy Farnell and Zac Lawrence as the first to earn the title. Congratulations to all of our puppy owners for their results and titles earned over the previous year, there are only more to come from here.
Your dedication to your dogs and to the breed got us this far. 2024 was also the year that saw the name of our Kennel change to reflect my mothers dream for our future, Rushinround. She would be so proud and overcome with joy for all of our achievements. Congratulations not just to us, but to all of our MydnytBlue and RushinRound families.
We dedicate these achievements to Michelle Hutchings, without which none of this would be possible. Bring on 2025.
