Lets help save The Sanctuary. They are a great organisation . If you do want to help if you want to donate the bank details are in the comments on the DRU post. Let's help these animals stay where they are
🚨 WE JUST CAN’T CONTINUE LIKE THIS…
🚫 If we don’t act now, the sanctuary shuts forever- we have hit absolute rock bottom
This is the part we’re terrified to write…
If we don’t get support in time, there is no way we will survive, and our doors will be shut forever there is no easy way to say it.
Cost of living and inflation is destroying us ! Right now, everyone is feeling the strain cost of living pressures hitting households and organisations alike.
Inflation and rising costs are driving up expenses across essentials like food, fuel, and animal care, which is leaving our sanctuary in a VERY difficult position too.
When our community is stretched, fewer people are able to give what they would normally, and we’re left trying to cover urgent needs with less capacity meaning it’s harder to keep up with daily care and meet the growing demands on us.
Our sanctuary accounts have NEVER been this low- we are at risk of losing everything!
🟨Here’s what we MUST cover urgently: (These costs are stacking quickly.)
▪️$4,200 outstanding vet bills
Our vet will not take on any more appointments/cases until the outstanding bills are covered.
▪️Dog emergency: ruptured eyeball
Requires immediate specialist surgery — $5,000
▪️Cat emergency: specialist CT scans- $2200
▪️Lola (our cow) needs specialist treatment + ultrasound- $2600
▪️Bundy (our pig) needs specialist hoof surgery- $1700-$2500
▪️ Rent overdue
We must cover $10,000 by the 23rd of this month.
▪️Food + produce to keep everyone fed
Ongoing $2,000 + per week on top of the vet and rent crisis.
WE ARE DROWNING ……..
💔 We hate asking…
But the reality is: our sanctuary runs on public support.
And right now, everyone is struggling.
Inflation. Rising costs. Food. Fuel. Care.
When our community is stretched, it becomes harder for us to keep up too.
⏳ We were so close to becoming more stable
Over the last 12 months we’ve been working hard to build a second and third source of financial sustainability to create stability for the animals and relief for our community. As we don’t want to keep pushing this burden onto the public every time.
We’re close… but not close enough to help us out of this.
We’re terrified right now..
But we’re still here, because of people like you.
Right now, we cannot survive without you.
