🐶🐶🐶After a long hiatus with a healing shoulder, and then more hurdles than I’ve ever had to jump lol. We’re excited to announce our next litter will be due mid February 2026.
This will be a litter of Mini Australian Labradoodles.
The mother is Darling Tales Lucille - call name PEPPER.
She is an outstanding little dog, with just the sweetest nature. Both her and the Sire Caralee Swiss have excellent health and DNA testing results from Orivet, OFA & PennHip USA.
Both dogs are Multigenerational Australian Mini Labradoodles, and their Genetic testing has shown: Chocolate Parti/ Roan/ Phantom & Low shedding silky fleece, which is a stunning coat combination.

We have very limited availability in this litter as 4 puppies are already reserved. So, if you feel that you would like a Darling Labradoodle to join you or your family, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

🌡️☀️DID YOU KNOW ?
That Hot Weather Can Delay a Dog’s Heat Cycle
With the unusually high temperatures we’ve been experiencing in SE Queensland, I wanted to share something that people may not be aware of:
Just like us, dogs can be affected by environmental stress—and heat is a big one. When the weather is abnormally hot like were currently experiencing at the moment, it can place extra strain on their bodies. In breeding females, this may result in extended or delayed heat cycles or even skipped cycles entirely. Their bodies instinctively prioritise keeping cool and staying well over reproductive functions. o we hoped to honey moon the end of this week, will not be ready for another couple of weeks.

👉 What to watch for in a Dog who may be affected by the heat.
* Heat cycle delayed beyond the usual timeframe - for breeding dogs
* Signs of heat starting but stopping prematurely - for breeding dogs
* Changes in appetite, energy or hydration in ANY dogs
* Excessive panting and drooling
* Rapid heart rate, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea and gums that are very red or pale.
In severe cases this can lead to tremors and seizures and collapse. Which is life threatening.

👉 How to help:
* Stop all physical activities immediately
* Remove your dog from the hot area and place them in shade or indoors with a fan or air conditioning
* Begin cooling your dog by wetting their body but avoid their head and face
* A fan blowing over their damp skin will assist in cooling them
* Offer fresh cool water NOT iced water

Should the dogs’ symptoms worsen, or you think the dog is suffering from heat stroke you must seek veterinary assistance ASAP. Do not wrap a dog in wet towels thinking this will help, it can trap heat. Be particularly aware of dogs with short, flat faces ( brachycephalc dogs) like Pugs, Frenchies, Bulldogs, Shihtzus, Boston terriers etc. These dogs have shorter muzzles and narrowed airways which can make it difficult for them to pant efficiently and regulate their body temperature.

And PLEASE no walking or running dogs on hot concrete, pavers or bitumen without paw protection.

🧡🐶After a year away from working with puppies— a year filled with challenges, multiple surgeries, pain, loss, recovery, and a big move — I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been officially cleared by my surgeons and physio to return to doing what I love most.
🧡🐶Breeding and raising Darling Labradoodles🧡🐶

To ease back in, I’ll be welcoming (fingers crossed!) a litter of Mini puppies around mid-January 2026.
I couldn’t be more excited to get back into the rhythm of puppy paws, training, and all the joy that comes with it.
This past year has been one of the hardest of my life — both physically and emotionally. There were moments I wasn’t sure I’d get here. But I did, thanks to the love and support of my incredible family, dearest friends, and my beautiful community of Guardian families, Darling Puppy owners (here in Australia and overseas), and loyal followers.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you for your patience, encouragement, and love. I feel it deeply, and I’m endlessly grateful for all the messages and visits.

Here’s to new beginnings, healing, and happy, wagging tails ahead. 🐾💫

Things have been quiet at Darling HQ since our last litter in September. On November 1, I had shoulder reconstruction surgery, and was in a sling for almost 10 weeks. Unfortunately that surgery has failed.
My shoulder is currently incredibly painful, very unstable and the joint has been bleeding internally. So I’m now being scheduled for a Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement and will need to take more time off to recovery.

We’ve postponed our litters with Maizy and Parry— so I’m sending a huge thank you to their amazing guardian families for understanding, that I won’t risk the health of our mums or puppies while my arm is not functioning properly. 🙏🏻

Everyone on our waitlist has been informed and have also shown such kindness and grace.

And lastly a heartfelt thank you to my family, both real and chosen—your support over these past months has meant the world to me, during what’s been a painful and challenging time.

In the meantime, I’ll share throwbacks and puppy videos—and I’ll be back on deck with puppies as soon as I’m able.

🐶Update on Samford 🐶

thank you to everyone who contacted me in regard to offering our Darling Samford, a new home. 🏡

We decided what was best for him was a home with another dog, and to relocate within the Brisbane area, to make it less disruptive. 🫶🏻

Well Samford: who has now been renamed Alfie moved into his new home last week with parents X & L, and is proving to be the perfect addition to their family. 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏻

And while from our initial play date, I could see he would really enjoy having a Labradoodle fur sister Millie. 🐶 #
The real cherry on top 🍒 is he now has 2 wonderful human brothers F & S 🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏻‍➡️who just love him to pieces.

Samford is a Medium sized Multi Generational Australian Labradoodle. He’s a rich Chocolate 🤎 brown 🤎with a little white goatee abstract marking on his chin. Both his parents 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺 have retained their deep chocolate coloring, without fading like many Choc Labradoodles do 🤎🤎. He has a silky soft fleece coat that is virtually non shedding. His family has kept his coat beautifully maintained 🧴and groomed 🪮🚿and he’s certainly a handsome pup. 🏆

He’s a super affectionate EmojiEmoji and well-socialized 🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻🧍🏻‍♂️boy who has received a solid foundation in training. However, he has exhibited some behaviors, such as chewing items that are not ❌chew toys when left alone. Rest of post in comments

Rest assured Samford has been an incredibly well loved 🤎Emoji🤎family member and is up to date with all vaccinations 🧑🏻‍⚕️👨🏼‍⚕️💉🩺and was neutered 🏥 in December. The decision to find him a new family, was not taken lightly. And please note there is no timeframe this needs to happen within. My priority is that he go to the very best home possible. 🏠🏘️⚽️🦴

A little more about Samford he loves treats such as banana, 🍌chicken, 🍗carrot sticks 🥕, antler bones and pig ears. Which we will encourage him to chew. He enjoys chewing on Kongs and toys 🧸 .

He knows “sit, drop & find it”. When going on walks 🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️he has learnt that before crossing the road, stop 🛑 he must “sit and wait” until he is told to “heel”. He did know “leave it”but he has forgotten since entering adolescence Emoji🤦🏻‍♀️ (if you’ve had a Teenager in your life, you can relate to this)

As with all of our Darling Labradoodles, 🐶 he is an inside dog, who prefers to be around his pack either human 👩🏼‍💼or canine🐶. Samford absolutely adores cuddles and he will roll over if you ask “do you want a belly rub”.

He also loves to watch “Bluey” and his favourite show is “Dogs behaving very badly” and “The Dog House “.

Things have been incredibly quiet here at Darling HQ the last couple of months.

We had to suspend our end of year plans and put puppies on hold. Because I had to have reconstructive shoulder surgery, which requires me to wear and sleep in a sling for 6-8 weeks. Then weeks of Physio. But, a week after my surgery I thought I could potter in the garden with my good left arm then “Oh Dear”, I completely tore my supraspinatus tendon in my left arm. So the good folks at orthopaedics had me in 2 slings lol.

Anyway, I’m healing very well and now have plans for our first litter of 2025. We plan to Honeymoon our gorgeous little Maizy who is a Tan Parti, Mini Labradoodle, and Sister to my Best Boy Stanely.

We have a couple of potential “Puppy Daddys” in mind, both of whom carry Parti & Phantom in tans, chocolate and white. So, with Maizy’s gorgeous “Family Friendly temperament” and stunning low shedding, silky fleece coat, these puppies will be exceptional.

And we are hoping, that like our past litters that they will go on to become loving family companions, or to be trained in the field of Therapy or Emotional support. So we will be taking EOI Expressions of Interest of this upcoming Litter.

We’re very proud of our puppies here are Darling Labradoodles. And I’m going to feature some of our gorgeous pups over the next few weeks to share our happiness.

Facebook’s recent actions targeting breeder pages have put us at risk of losing our page permanently and without warning. If this happens, it’s likely that all our messages will also be lost. We’re doing everything we can I the background to minimize this risk and prepare backup plans, we’re only small specialized breeders, but our page is very important to us and holds some great memories.

We’re hoping that Facebook will cease this blanket targeting breeders who are fully registered, insured and follow the guidelines of the international breeding organizations. We believe that our Family Group page Of Darling Lovers should not be affected by this, so if anyone wishes to join this page please just click on the link.
Hopefully these Facebook restrictions will be sorted out quickly (considering breeders like me pay a great deal for our advertising to them)
