Sprinkling turmeric on your dog's food is not the same as giving them curcumin. Not even close. ๐ก
Turmeric is the spice. Curcumin is the active compound inside it and, there's barely any of it in what's in your cupboard.
And even then, curcumin on its own has a bioavailability problem. It doesn't absorb well. The liver clears it fast. Most of it never reaches your dog's joints.
Bioavailability = how much actually gets in.
Standardised extract = a guaranteed therapeutic dose that does.
That's the difference between a supplement that works and one that smells good on their dinner.
