The Long Dog Squad We are a small family based breeder of longhaired mini dachshunds in Brisbane, QLD. Our dogs are all extremely loved members of our family.

Pia and Sprite are expecting!

This is a pairing we’ve been so excited about. Anyone who has followed our journey for a while will know just how much we adore Pia’s babies. She consistently gives us beautiful temperaments, gorgeous type and the sweetest little faces.

We’re also incredibly excited to see what Sprite brings to our program. Thank you for letting us use this special boy! Between these two there are so many possibilities, and we’re secretly hoping for a gorgeous rainbow litter with plenty of variety in both colour and personality.

Most importantly, we’re looking forward to healthy, happy puppies and watching this special litter grow.

Mabel’s final litter is due this Friday and it’s hard to put into words just how much this special girl means to us.

She has truly done her mumma Gucci proud, blessing us with some of the most beautiful, loving, happy puppies we could have ever hoped for. Watching her babies grow up in their families, living wonderful lives and being adored beyond measure has been one of the greatest joys.

We are so grateful to every family who has welcomed a Mabel baby into their hearts, and we know they feel just as lucky to have a little piece of her in their lives.

For her final litter, we’ve paired Mabel with Kobe. They complement each other so beautifully in both temperament and type, and it felt like the perfect match to finish her incredible legacy.

As excited as I am to meet these babies, I have one little dream of my own. I’m hoping somewhere in this litter is a perfect little girl to carry on Mabel’s legacy within our program. A daughter who reminds us of everything we love about this incredible girl and allows a small piece of her to live on for generations to come.

Now we wait, counting down the days until we get to meet these precious little souls. We are beyond excited to see what Mabel and Kobe have created together and to celebrate one last chapter with our beautiful girl.

Our handsome boys are growing up so fast 💙

Briar, Riff and Thistle are growing more confident by the day. This week they opened their eyes and have started attempting their first little adventures around the whelping box. They’re still a bit wobbly and uncoordinated, but that just makes them even more adorable.

It’s amazing how quickly they change at this age. One minute they’re tiny sleepy newborns, and the next they’re curious little puppies taking in everything around them.

Song has been doing an incredible job raising her boys, and we’re loving watching them hit each new milestone together.

Our little Lunar Light babies are almost 2 weeks old and growing more beautiful every day. 🌙✨

Twilight Serenade, Phantom Eclipse and Nimbus Moonbeam will be 2 weeks old on Thursday, and we’re completely smitten with them. Their eyes haven’t opened just yet, but they’re thriving, gaining weight beautifully and spending their days snuggled up with their devoted mum.

Bubbles absolutely adores her little beans and rarely lets them out of her sight. Watching her care for them so gently has been the sweetest thing.

We can’t wait to see those tiny eyes open over the coming days and watch their little personalities begin to shine. 🤎

🤎 Mabel’s final litter is officially on the way.

We’re so excited to announce that Mabel and Kobe are expecting puppies due around 19 June.

This beautiful pairing is expected to produce long haired Miniature Dachshund puppies in chocolate and chocolate dapple, with the gorgeous coats, sweet expressions and loving personalities that both parents are known for.

Kobe is one of those dogs who wins everyone over. He’s gentle, loyal and happiest when he’s with his people. Mabel brings the fun, with a playful, outgoing personality and a love for adventure. Together, we expect puppies that will make wonderful family companions for homes looking for a dog that’s equally happy joining in on family activities or snuggling up on the couch at the end of the day.

🐾 Due around 19 June
