Woohoo We are back open again. 💖 But!!! Our stables number is finally diverted to mobile. The Brimpaen phone exchange is still down, so the landline was just ringing at the exchange and not coming through to us. It’s a regular occurrence.

Good Morning, we are experiencing a clear sunny morning.
The smoke is being blown south to Hamilton by a warm northerly breeze.
The lightning strike that started this fire has most likely run its course.
The state government has now authorised for the rest of the Grampians be back burned.
This will see the section behind us to join with the Glenisla/Cavendish fire to burn out the middle part that is not yet burnt.
Why?
At what cost?
What about the habitat?
And the loss of tourism dollars to the Grampians and surrounding areas.

You may have heard Brimpaen is now under “Leave Immediately”
The Grampians fire is now impacting between our road and Wartook.
We have many helpers to assist and Cam has the horses calm fed and relaxed.
We will let you know if anything changes.

Quick update, it’s a little cold here today, we have had rain, And the skies are clear. The fires are on the other side of the Grampians. Our horses are still in their paddocks, and we are all ok.
If anything changes we will let you know.
