🐴 NOBODY WANTED HIM.
Crooked legs. Knobby knees. Too small, too lazy, too "useless."
The experts had already written him off. Owners had dumped him. Prestigious stables wouldn't even look at him twice.
His name was Seabiscuit.
And he became one of the greatest racehorses in American history.
But the most extraordinary thing wasn't his speed.
It was what he stood for.
It's the era of the Great Depression. Millions of Americans had lost everything , their jobs, their homes, their hope. And in that total darkness, a "broken" horse, ridden by a limping jockey, trained by a forgotten old cowboy, started winning.
And people went absolutely crazy.
Because Seabiscuit was them. Cast aside. Underestimated. Written off as finished.
Yet there they were , beating champions, packing racetracks, making an entire nation stop and gather around the radio.
The lesson he left us is simple and brutal:
Don't let other people's judgment become your reality.
Horses don't read newspapers.
Seabiscuit didn't know he was supposed to be a loser.
And maybe that's exactly why he won. 🏆

There is nothing hard about putting a horse to saddle. People make it hard, not horses.
The key to calm successful training with zero fight is being there with your horse since Day 1. Knowing exactly how that horse has grown up and ensuring it has had the best mineral supplements and feed to ensure soundness in body and in mind before the saddle training begins. Prior to that, there is an every single day need for YOU, as a duty of care, to handle your horse. Touching your horse everywhere all the time since Day 1 is the difference between a horse who trusts you 100% and one who is weary and frightened. Build that trust and when it comes to riding there is zero conflict and zero unnecessary arguments.
Take the time to do the ground work and the saddle work is the easy part, not the hard.
