JUST RANTING
Honestly… this is getting ridiculous.

This is just a small sample of what I found on Gumtree today — all being advertised as “purebreed Chihuahuas”… some even labelled “rare”… and priced like it too.

And then people wonder why the public doesn’t know what a Chihuahua actually looks like.

A Chihuahua is not just any small dog with big ears.

Some of these… sure, you can see there might be a bit of Chihuahua in there somewhere.

But others? You’d be hard pressed to find any Chihuahua behind them at all.

That’s not being nasty — that’s just being honest.

When anything small gets labelled a Chihuahua, it completely blurs the line and misleads buyers who genuinely don’t know any better.

And calling them “rare” on top of that? Come on.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with crossbreeds or unpapered dogs — but they should be sold honestly for what they are.

This “everything small = Chihuahua” trend needs to stop.

1.5 weeks old and all growing beautifully. One little tiny girl who started at half the size of her litter mates is also doing great.(She’ll just stay little like her dad)
