🥚 𝗘𝗴𝗴𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆!!
🐔 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀-𝗶𝗻-𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱!

They’re newest flock is officially in boot camp; and they’re already hard at work. These young free-range hens are just getting started, which means their early eggs are a little smaller… and a lot special.

💛 Smaller eggs = higher yolk-to-white ratio
👉 Creamier taste
👉 Perfect for frying, poaching, boiling, omelettes & egg fried rice
👉 Just not ideal if you’re building a skyscraper pavlova 😄

This is your chance to cheer on the next generation of layers (one delicious dozen at a time).

While supermarkets chase only the “biggest and boldest,” at Box Divvy we say small is beautiful and delicious too. So we’re giving these trainee eggs the spotlight they deserve.

💰 $3.50 per dozen
That’s 48% off for only 29% less egg... a cracking good deal.

⏳ Available for a limited time only...just until the girls finish training and size up. Grab them while they’re small, mighty, and eggstra tasty.

Make your own pizza: it’s faster, cheaper, healthier and more fun
Did you know that one in three Australians eat pizza every week? That amounts to around 264m pizzas annually. Most of these are ordered as take-away or home-delivered.

A Dominos pizza will set you back $15 at least, and they’re not that great: high in sugar, salt and fat, and they don’t taste that great.

Home-made pizzas taste so much better, and because you control the action, you can make them healthy by using fresh ingredients from Box Divvy: tomato paste or passata for the base, with some garlic and Belicious oregano – and toppings of ham, prosciutto salami, olives, artichoke, capers or mushrooms. And of course cheese: Mozzarella, parmesan, pecorino, feta, halloumi – whichever you fancy.

And now, they’re also easier, quicker and cheaper than home-delivered pizzas with Box Divvy’s Pizza Bases from Kabul Bakery.

Rustic, handmade from simple ingredients: flour (white and wholemeal), salt, yeast and water. Slightly charred for extra crunch. All you need is the add the toppings, a hot oven and bingo.

A pack of 2 large (30cm) pizzas is just $5.50. You’ll find them under Bakery ➡️ Bread ➡️ Pizza Base.

Our Pantry Manager Carly has given them a work-out, and given them the thumbs-up. Check out the video here.

Why a Little Friction Is Good for Us (and for Food)

We live in a world designed to remove effort. Groceries arrive at the door with a few taps. Entertainment streams endlessly. Algorithms decide what we eat, watch and buy next. Convenience has become the gold standard.

But somewhere along the way, we may have lost something important.

Communities are strongest when people do things together. That’s why weekly markets still thrive in Australian country towns and across our Pacific neighbours like Fiji and Vanuatu. Shared rituals create connection, rhythm and belonging.

At Box Divvy, we aim to foster that same sense of belonging and we’ve always believed that a little friction is a feature, not a flaw. A recent Sydney Morning Herald article by Lauren Ironmonger https://shorturl.at/ypMjG, exploring how Silicon Valley taught us to fear friction, sparked meaningful conversations within the Box Divvy administration. While we’re often called the “new corner store”, we also think of ourselves as the “inconvenient convenient store.”

With Box Divvy, you order in advance and collect from a local Hub without crowded aisles or battling supermarket trolleys. You talk with your Hubster and neighbours, see what’s actually in season, know who grew your food, and understand what farmers and wholesalers are paid. These small moments of effort are where trust and connection live.

Box Divvy isn’t about instant gratification. You won’t always get strawberries in winter. You may rethink dinner when leafy greens fill the box. You show up at a set time, sometimes in the rain, sometimes juggling kids or work but with less stress than a supermarket shop. Along the way, you swap recipes, talk seasons, and even contribute to a Kindness Box to support someone nearby.

That’s not inconvenience. That’s infrastructure for belonging.
In a time of rising loneliness, choosing systems that require participation is a quiet act of resistance. Choosing Box Divvy is choosing people over pure convenience and rediscovering the nourishment that comes from showing up.
