We are so super excited to be part of Pipers journey.
Piper is 12 years old and 3 years ago was diagnosed with ADHD, Autism & Selective Mutism. Piper lives on the family farm with her mum Melissa and step father Ethan and has a love for all the animals. Piper attends school at Sheffield and plays in her school netball team during spring. She got her first pony at the age of 1 but was never overly interested until Jessica came along. She did her first 20km introductory ride in late 2020 and by the following year was doing an 80km ride. She has successfully completed over 2000 Endurance km’s ranging from 80km to 160km.
In 2023 Piper and Jessica came 3rd junior in the Tasmanian State Championships in the 160km event and it was from then Piper made it her goal to make it to SA in October 2024 for the Tom Quilty Gold Cup.
The Tom Quilty this year is being held at Wirinna Cove in South Australia and is held in a different state each year and will return to Tasmania in 2025. To participate in the event you must be 12 years old and have been successful in a 160km ride. Like all 160km rides it starts at midnight and you have 24 hours to complete in and it consists of 5 different distant legs with a short break in between each.
We wish you all the best Piper and can not wait to watch you achieve your goals.
