It’s SHOWTIME BABY , those of you that have followed us for a while would know it’s my favourite time of the year, Caboolture show Scarecrow time. This years entry is called AL-PACA-N my show bags!! It features some Of our farm favourites . Now to somehow drop it off in the morning without breaking it 😆😆😆.
I’m Sorry If tomorrow im that one driver doing 60km on the DAG highway with my giant straw alpaca hanging at the back of the Ute 🤪😂

Look who had babies today in the barn. Did you know ? Guinea pig boys are called boars and females called sows just like a pig , however babies are called pups 🤷‍♀️ . They come out fully furred , running around and eating solid food within a few hours of birth .

Someone dropped this pretty lady off today in the rooster drop off . I never got to see you so if it’s yours just letting you know she is a hen.
If I don’t hear back from you tonight, we will offer her to a new home if anyone is interested . She seems to be in good health looks like a Brahma

Great weather for ducks 😩
I think it will be a bit to slippery to open this weekend so we are going pick up from the gate I’ll be home tomorrow and the weekend if you book a time .

Some of Our cuddly Cochins we have grown up from last season , pretty happy as we only started from a couple .

Our flock has increased and I can’t wait to share some of these gentle giant chicks this year.
I’m Super happy with first couple Of our blue girls they have really filed out nice and all of our black girls are HUGE and so floofy they have outgrown their mums 😂. With Our new splash and blue cockerels we should have more blue and splash chicks available than the blacks this season and our new cockerals we have growing up in the silverlaced pen we hope will help work on more defined lacing on the ladies.

💜We will be open Sunday 10-12 for chick pick up this week .
Rooster drop off and chicken walk open . Our farm animals are visible but we have moved paddocks this week to give the wet mushy ground from all that rain a chance to dry out .

The season is slowing down so my apologies hatches will be lighter ea week and breed availability will change . ( we are normally done by now but they just won’t stop laying ).

With the cooler weather it’s a good reminder to make sure brooders are draught free and warm and cosier than normal like in the house.

Fun fact…Did you know ? our classy bantam faverolles were in the newest Anaconda movie in the market background. It’s only taken me 5 months to watch the movie as we thought they didn’t make it on screen but here they are in the background. We already thought they were movie stars with their outgoing personalities 💜.
