Bowen Dog Show - May 2026

Huge thank you to Bowen Kennel Club for putting on an amazing show this weekend. Thank you to the amazing judges and of course as always - huge thank you to Payton Dibnah for being my super star handler.

We just took Leia this weekend who was the solo girl representing the Golden Retriever breed.

I’m so proud of young Leia - our first homebred girl has gained so much confidence and is moving brilliantly with Payton as her handler.

Had a really awesome dog show weekend to end the school holidays.

Got to test out the new Air conditioned Toy Hauler that we’re setting up for dog shows now. It was a dream to have air conditioning!!!!

But the highlight of the weekend was seeing the puppies growing in confidence in the ring and with socialising with people and dogs in general!

Great to catch up with people again - even though most of the weekend the pups and I were being air conditioning hermits.

Easter Extravaganza Weekend!

First of all, apologies for my tardiness with the previous day by day posts - I have never struggled so much with heat and humidity as I did this weekend. I was purely in survival mode, and ended up pulling out of the final show as the Puppies also appeared quite heat stressed and "over it".

But, very first show for our Baby puppies of our own breeding and first time showing and owning our own breeding - so we were very excited for Leia and Rey to make their Debut into the show world.

for putting on an amazing show, as always! (And a huge "Huzza"! to the crew in the kitchen for putting on an amazing canteen this weekend.

Thank you to all the lovely judges who travelled to see all our dogs.

It was awesome to see people again this weekend, (even though I went into melting-hermit-mode for most of the time.)
Well done to my fellow Golden exhibitor - Flick Martin from Golden Retrievers - who titled their homegrown girl Isla this weekend!

Thank you again to our Breeder and Mentors John and Sherry Jewell from for entrusting us with your bloodlines.

And of course, my biggest biggest thank you, as always, goes out to my handler extraordinaire - Payton Dibnah for leading Penny to her titles and helping run puppies in "Pup-offs".
