Berriedale Merino Stud will be having an open day ahead of the SMBAT ram sale at Campbelltown, on the 16th of Nov 2022.

Come along and have a look at the rams that we'll be sending up along with the private treaty rams.

Also we'll have on display our new sires, which are both sired by Glenlea Park 1120, along with the sires that we've been using.

We'll start selling rams after the campbelltown for private treaty.

Had the ram lambs in for a drench this morning, their coming along nicely, bright and white wools

Been through our rams this morning getting our campbelltown sale team ready, these are the 4 we've come up with, nice long stapled rams with good frame, still have a lot growing to do. They've stood up well over the last couple of weeks having about 75 mls of rain on them

We shore our ewe weaners today, they've really well this year, cut some nice wool and have come out of the wool the best I've seen them in a while, love this style of wool.

We finally got back and shore the studs today after it being wet for a fortnight, after such a good season last year the cut some very nice fleeces the heaviest being 11.8kg and an average of 6.9 kg.

Shearing at Green valley this week, ewes are cutting a nice bit of wool and are in good buckle leading into winter, gearing up to be a really good season

Today was a good day to be inside with it raining, today we did our AI program with Robertson Livestock services. We used fresh semen from our BER 19-032, RP 19-0072 and RP 16-0006 which is the sire of BER 19-032. Thanks again to Stuart and Noel.

Yesterday we shore our home bred sire BER 19-032 at with 9 months wool he cut 9.7 kg and will be used in the AI program this, very happy with how he's adapted to the wet season. He sired by the RP 16-0006 ram in out AI program

The boys are in again, we shore the Berriedale flock rams that we've kept yesterday.

If anyone is interested feel free to call or message me to make an appointment to come and have a look.

We have 4 going up to the multi vendor sale at Campbelltown on the 5th of December.

From shearing wethers at old wetheron to just a weekly drive to check to see how things are going, our 2020 drop is growing well, excited to see what these lambs grow into. Not sure if you can pick it up, but mount field is in the background.

Don't forget our inspection day Wednesday the 4th nov 10 o'clock to 1 o'clock.
