I knew this day would come by seeing others post on here. And sadly it's come for our girl who turned 11 this month. It started with her having seizures. One right after the other. And with blood coming out and non responsive. Got her to the vet and even with IV anti-seizure meds she still had them. But her heart was still beating and we sadly had to make that decision to let her go 😪.She was the sweetest girl that loved kids, her toys, and her daddy. When he would walk outside she would start the whining and pacing. She loved to sing. We never knew Border Collie could do that. I don't think I could go through this again 💔.

Matilda was just a baby — 10 months old — when her name appeared on the euthanasia list. Not because she was dangerous. Not because she was broken. But because her joy looked “too much” inside the shelter walls. A wagging tail. A puppy’s energy. And for that, she was marked to die.

Behind those oversized ears was a little soul who had no idea why her world had turned so cold. She waited in silence, hours ticking away, her young life slipping toward an unfair end.

But at the last moment, someone came back for her. And the puppy who almost lost everything finally felt safe enough to smile.

My dog has completely lost his mind over this toy — it’s actually hilarious. He won’t go anywhere without it: he carries it around the house, and falls asleep with it tucked between his paws. It’s like he’s finally found his soulmate 😂. What’s even better is how tough this thing is. My dog’s tried everything — biting, pulling, even tossing it across the room — and it still looks brand new. The hidden ball inside keeps him busy for hours, and for the first time, I feel like I’ve found something that matches his energy. He’s calmer, happier, and my furniture is finally safe. I honestly didn’t think a toy could make such a difference, but this one did — and I’m so glad I found it!

Last week my husband and I decided to go to the shelter and get a puppy. We wanted to give a warm home to a little one in need. Upon arrival, we saw these two adorable puppies, saved by rescuers after losing their mother in a tragic accident. Their story was heartbreaking, and their sad little looks moved us immediately.

We had initially planned to adopt only one little female. After some hesitation, we chose one of the two, thinking it would be enough. But something stopped us. While we were filling out the paperwork, we noticed both puppies seemed completely upset about being separated. They hugged each other, their eyes filled with sadness, as if they knew they were going to be far from each other.

Seeing this scene broke our hearts. We looked at each other, and without even needing to speak, we knew what to do. How could we ever separate them? These little beings had already lost so much in their short lives. So we decided to adopt them both.

This picture was taken on our way home from their adoption. You can see them, snuggled up on my lap, as if to reassure each other. They are finally safe, together, and ready to start a new life in a home where they will be loved and protected.

Seeing them like this, I have no doubt that we made the right decision. Seeing them so close, so peaceful, reminds us how much they need each other. We are happy that we were able to offer them not only a home, but the opportunity to stay together, as they deserve.

These two innocent little souls have been through some tough times, but today marks the beginning of a new adventure for them, filled with love, play and tenderness. We can't wait to give them everything they never had. It's the beginning of a beautiful story for them... and for us. 🥹🙏❤️

Would you trust a gentle giant like this enough to give them a second chance? Behind those serious eyes could be a dog who has spent far too long waiting for someone to believe in them. Giving a dog another chance does not always mean knowing their whole story, it means being willing to give them time, patience, and the opportunity to show who they truly are. Sometimes the dogs who need love the most are the ones who take the longest to trust it. ❤️
