Boronia Aquarium is located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and is one of Australia’s favourite aquarium stores. Originating as Ferntree Aquarium in the 1970s, Boronia Aquarium has been a long standing icon of the Australian aquarium industry. We have over 170 selling tanks plus a wide range of Display aquariums to view. We specialize in freshwater aquatics, planted aquariums and aquascapes, B

ettas – ranging from common fancy types to selected imported varieties and wilds. We are beginning to expand in to the shrimp market and specialize in quality ‘Nano’ displays. Boronia Aquarium main point of difference is that we place animal welfare of sales. We don’t sell small fishbowls and aquariums under 10 litres, we don’t sell unfiltered aquarium sets for any fish, all our bettas are sold into tropical – heated aquariums with filtration. We will refuse a sale before selling any animal into the wrong environment. Our team do a lot of work studding fish and their natural environments. We help our customers maintain water parameters as close to their fishes natural water as possible. This results in cleaner, healthier aquariums, healthy, colourful active fish that are often displaying and breading and rarely needing medications or treatments.
