Super exciting Giddy Up Gold Coast is please to offer a FULLY FUNDED Horse Whispering Youth Program for 4 week long sessions in term 4. Held at Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat, the oldest active equestrian centre, on the Gold Coast since 2006.
Thanks to funding from Glenn TOZER for Mudgeeraba & Hinterland (Division 9) we can make our programs easier to access for those in need.
We are looking for 9 participants from our community that could benefit from 4 weeks just chilling out in nature, learning how to connect with horses and themselves.
Developing skills in care, communication, control and confidence. Helping engagement with school, family or friendships. Equine Assisted Learning (therapy without a therapist through horses), is proven to provide powerful long lasting results that contributes to a safe, active and healthy community.

Sessions are Tuesdays 12-1.30pm: 6-27Oct, 3-24Nov or 1-22Dec

Trust is not a small thing when it comes from a horse.

In weeks one and two, many of our young people begin to realise something powerful: this large, sensitive animal is choosing to let them in.

The horse allows them to come close, to brush, to lead, to move together, and to share space. A horse could easily say no. They could walk away. But when a young person learns to be kind, calm, generous and clear, the horse often responds with trust.

By week three, many participants are leading their horse through obstacles, learning about herd behaviour, and discovering that trust is built through small, respectful moments.

At HWYP, we honour the quiet courage of our horses — and the courage of the young people learning how to become safe, positive leaders beside them.
