Meet Zippy! 😻😻

Zippy is a gorgeous, almost 2 year old British Shorthair. She is an outgoing, playful lap cat that just wants to soak in all the love. Zippy’s current owners are going through some significant health issues, and so feel they no longer have the capacity to give Zippy what she needs. We are hoping to find her a new home where she can settle in & get all the attention she deserves!

Zippy is prone to allergies and can get stress UTI’s when left alone for long periods, so would be suited to a household with retired humans or those working from home. She has only ever lived in a single pet household, so would ideally there would be no other fur babies at home. She is a beautiful, tolerant companion for the current kids she lives with (4 & 6 years old) but can get a little stressed with new or exuberant kids, so would need a slow introduction and/or trial period in a home with little kids.

She is desexed & microchipped, up to date with vaccinations and regular parasite prevention. She is truly a delight, so if you feel you have space in your home & heart for this little lady, please give us a call at the clinic or send us a direct message to organise a meet and greet.

HAPPY NATIONAL VET NURSE DAY 🩺🤍

Today we say an enormous thankyou for our 4 wonderful nurses at Blaxland.
Nurses Selena, Erin, Anne and Angel are all amazing and we wouldn’t be able to run the clinic and deliver care to your pets without them!
We thank them for their constant love, compassion, dedication and willingness to show up for our patients and clients every single day. We appreciate you and all that you do!

Join us on Friday, September 26 2025, for a sweet treat to support the RSPCA! 🧁🧁🧁

Our staff will be busy in the kitchen, baking delicious treats to raise money for this wonderful organisation. The RSPCA relies on community contributions to continue its vital work, including investigating cruelty, rescuing, treating, and rehoming animals, as well as running their shelters and veterinary hospitals.

Treats will be available in our waiting room all day, or until sold out.

🏈🏈 National Jersey Day! 🏈🏈

Today our staff wore our favourite jerseys to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation!
It was a lot of fun and definitely encouraged some important conversations which is what we aimed to do.

Unintentionally we started another battle of the west but all in the name of a good cause! Even baby Harvey got involved, clearly showing us which team he supports!

Did someone say superstar nurse!?
That’s right, we can hardly believe it, but our AMAZING nurse Erin has been with us at Blaxland for 26 years!! Congratulations!! ✨✨✨

Erin always comes to work and gives 110% to both her clients and her patients, making a difference in the lives of so many. She will drop everything to help her team, has worked all hours of the day, and constantly puts her patients first. She is not only an amazingly experienced nurse but an overall kind hearted and lovely person, and we are so lucky that she is apart of our family!
Please help us in congratulating her on this milestone achievement!

The ENTIRE team came together for a day of continuing education and training today, and everyone came away with some new tips and tricks!
