*** ONLY 3 MORE WEEKENDS : 13-14... 20-21... 27-28 JUNE 2026***

After 32 years at Blacktown, Aquarama Outlet will be vacating the premises for good at the end of June and temporarily suspending trading while we search for a new home.

Before that happens, we would love to see as many of our Friends, customers and fellow aquarium enthusiasts as possible.

There are still plenty of dry goods, aquariums, lighting, filters, pumps, fittings and assorted “treasures” available — often at genuine clearance pricing - min. 20% but
FRIENDS GET 25% OFF !

So if you have been meaning to visit us “one more time”, now may be the perfect opportunity.

Thank you again for your support over the years — it has truly meant a lot to us.

Dear Aquarama Friends,

We have recently “unearthed” two aquarium cabinets from our old display stock:

• one standard 4-foot cabinet
• one standard 5-foot cabinet

(“Standard” meaning 14” / 36 cm wide.)

Both have served for several years as display units, so naturally they show some signs of age — please see photos.

The BLACK cabinet has lost a small section of gloss laminate and one corner trim has lifted slightly. Structurally, however, it remains solid and serviceable. A quick touch-up paint would make the blemish far less noticeable.

The PINE cabinet is generally in very good condition, with only slightly rusty hinges showing its age. With a little sanding, staining or varnishing, it could actually become quite an attractive display piece.

We will shortly place both on Marketplace, but we would prefer them to go to one of our Aquarama Friends first.

If either may be useful to you, please send us a message and indicate what contribution you could reasonably afford toward it.

Thank you for supporting Aquarama over the years.

Aquarium lighting is rapidly moving toward LED technology.

However, there are still thousands of older aquariums using fluorescent lighting systems — including traditional straight tubes (T5/T8) as well as curved PL-style tubes and fittings.

These globes are becoming increasingly difficult to source.

The good news is that at Aquarama we still stock a wide range of replacement aquarium fluorescent tubes.

If you are looking for a specific tube or fitting, send us the details or a photo, and we will check whether we can help.

During our Clearance campaign — here on Facebook and also through Marketplace — the surprise most popular item has been our BULK GRAVEL.

Several hundred kilograms have already gone, but we still have quite a bit left.

At just $2/kg (around half the normal retail price these days), it’s excellent value whether you’re:
• setting up a new tank
• topping up an existing substrate
• or improving the biological stability of your aquarium.

Something many aquarists overlook:
A healthy 3–4 cm gravel bed can hold an enormous amount of beneficial bacteria — often more than even a large canister filter.

And where does most bio waste in a tank actually end up? On the substrate.

Having strong biological activity right there helps break waste down where it lands, instead of allowing it to decay and release toxic ammonia before eventually reaching the filter.

We also still have:
• crushed coral — great for helping stabilise pH
• our original Aussie Red Desert Sand for reptile keepers.

Message us if interested, and please feel free to share this post with fellow aquarium or reptile hobbyists.

Dear Friends,
After many good years serving customers from behind this counter, it’s time for it to find a new home.

Since closing our shopfront a few months ago, we still have our main sales counter available, and we’d love to see it reused rather than sitting in storage. It would suit a retail shop, studio, reception area, market stall setup, or even a creative home project.

If you know someone starting a business, fitting out a space, or looking for a quality counter, please tag them or share this post.

Happy to provide dimensions, more photos, and pricing via message.

Thanks again for all the support this community has given us over the years.

Greetings and regards. Marek and Maria
