If you come across a sick, injured or deceased bird, please do not touch or handle it. Instead, report it to the Emergency Animal Disease (EAD) Hotline on 1800 675 888 for further advice.

As instructed by the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA), we will not be accepting any birds at this time. This precaution is in place to help protect our patients, staff, wildlife, and the wider community.

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums — including pet mums! 🐾💖

As we celebrate with beautiful flowers and bouquets today, we would also like to share an important reminder for pet owners.

Some common flowers often found in Mother’s Day bouquets can be harmful — and even deadly — to dogs and cats if chewed or ingested.

⚠️ Flowers to be extra careful with include:
• Lilies (extremely toxic to cats)
• Tulips
• Chrysanthemums
• Daffodils
• Hydrangeas

Even small amounts can cause serious illness in pets.

If you are gifted flowers today, we recommend placing bouquets well out of reach of curious paws and noses. 🌷🐶🐱
