Sometimes there just too smart for the dogs! This lump got the jump on us on a previous hunt, decided to switch it up and come in from the top side with the wind in our favour in hopes he was either on the water or not far off. Sure enough Randall and ratchet flew off done a lap of the dam and shot down the gully 600m to catch this lump!!

Hopefully everyone’s gotten into a few rippers overs the Easter break chose the coast over boars this time round. None the less here’s a mature boar Lucy and mav snagged after a big find through the creek country straight out into a grass paddock 🥂

It’s not often I’ll lose sleep thinking about a pig but this boar had me peaking been seeing him on camera for 12 plus months and could never pick his pattern he managed to slip away more than once, but not on this morning Lucy and ratchet bailed off floating 600m up the hill and stopped him dead in his tracks. A very rewarding catch!! He’s no monster but made up for it in hooks 🥂

Solid slab Mav and Ratchet found out in the grass country!
We’ve had a great start the season there’s more grass and water then we know what to do with! Makes hunting more challenging yet rewarding, when the pigs don’t have to rely on prime water and food sources 🥂
