Thank you everyone for your love and support for this last year. It’s been tough… I lost my mum, and you were all so wonderful to me during that time, and accepted my delays and reschedules without one grumble 🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you

I also got some unexpected life lessons, and all in all, that went well!

My client base are wonderful wonderful people and pups…. I love you all 💖

🐶🎄LAST WEEK🎄🐶

Here it is everyone!! My last week of work before I take a well earned longish Christmas break 🥰🤣

This week is going to be HECTIC.. not even kidding!

I’d like to take this chance now, to wish all my clients and friends a wonderful Merry Christmas 🎄🎄 and a smashing, safe New Year 🥳🥳

Some changes next year, but I’ll fill you all in on them just before I return to work.

Last day for me is 20th December 2025 and then first day back will be 20th January 2026.

Feel free to send me messages during that time, but please understand that I am trying to spend more time relaxing and with my family, so I’ll get back to you in due course ☺️

The severity of mats. Mats are more than just a tangle in your dogs coat. A lot of people are unaware just how detrimental a mat is. Here is some knowledge on mats that will be quite the eye opener.
1. Mats pull on the skin.
2. They harbor bacteria, dead skin, debri and can smell.
3. They can create sores and wounds underneath.
4. Mats in the paw pads or armpits can change your dogs gait.
5. They are painful just existing. Creates bad blood circulation and can cause the blood to rush back to that area when removed. Hematomas. Bruising.

Removing mats:
1. Removing mats by brushing them out takes ALOT of time. And therefore costs more money.
2. Brushing them out still damages that hair.
3. Cutting them out can be dangerous especially if done by a non professional and will leave holes in the coat.
4. Clipping them out is still a lot of time, stressful and painful as the mats are pulled and tugged. It takes a very close (short) cut to get underneath mats to get them out. About 1/4 inch of coat will be left or bald spots.
5. When your dog needs the groomer to remove mats they are not set up for success. It is far more difficult to remain calm, comfortable and cooperative

Kellie’s Doggy Detailing will close this year, last day of work being Saturday 20th December, and will be back at work on Tuesday 20th January 2026.

I would like to advise that as of today, I am unable to take on new clients for the end of year. Please touch base with me again in the New Year.

There are only 10 working weeks left for me (😳😳😳) till Christmas, so if any of my current clients are looking to book clips before Christmas…. PLEASE DO SO!!!

I am already mostly booked, but have the odd spot left available.
