Hello my fur fam. Sorry fabulous fur fam!!
Thanks to everyone for your generous donations.
I know what some people are thinking…she breeds cats, she’s selling them for $1600 each, she’s got funds to pay for Sienna. She’s got money like wtf?
Buttttt…it’s not all profit can I say. If it was I wouldn’t be working in my own business for a start.

The difference is…
This kitten was sold to us for breeding purposes. Along with 2 others, another kitten and a 12 month old male.
We spent $7200 hoping to have a new line, all with papers, all different colours.

So far at my vet it was $1299, then $5.5 at Sash, plus medication to be purchased this week-depending on which I choose, Molnupiriver or GS-44, one is $500 the other is $3k. Plus then 3 blood tests one in 2 weeks to check in on her fluid, bloodwork etc. once treatment has been finished, she will need 3 more checkups. 3/6/12 months to def make sure she is cured.

I’m hoping that all can see why I instigated the go fund me. Sitting at $7k for Siennas tests, treatments etc so far, $3k for medication, $1500 to $3k for check ups, it’s extremely expensive…
No pet insurance offered with Sienna, just euthanise and we will replace her with another kitten.

What about the small time she was with us? Bonding, loving…living in our family??? My queens are not just another “number” or money maker…they are my children!!

Once she is cured she will not be able to be bred from for risk of her carrying this fatal disease…which if we did, like some breeders would, there would be lots more sick kittens with expenses wayyyyy outweighing anyone’s expectations.

So if you can see why? From my point of view? Why I did this? Sienna will eventually have to move onto another family as Council will only allow us 4 pets.
This will be the extremely hard part. 🥹.
Saying goodbye to (my fingers and toes are crossed) warrior who fought this like a champion…
Buttttt, we have a little while yet before we need to think about this situation.

Sienna is eating well now. When she came home on Wednesday she was not good at all. But she’s getting her appetite back and it’s looking positive so far!
Back to the vets in 2 weeks for bloodwork/weigh in and check up, so will know more then.

Just so everyone knows, Sienna was purchased as a breeder to be. $2500. Now $7k with more to come.

A beautiful brown girl that would give us an array of colours with our boys…
Unfortunately she has developed FIP, not from us, but unwillingly from perhaps a parent carrying the mutating gene. She cannot breed now. She has to have ongoing tests and weigh ins…to be desexed.

She is only 4 months old and weighing a tiny 1.25kg.
After diagnosis, much testing and much funding we discovered that she has this Fatal disease. It doesn’t pick or choose, it just mutates and debilitates the lives of not only the feline, but the mental and financial state of the owner…us who purchased this girl
Unwillingly…the owners were agreeable that her future was for her to be EUTHANISED!!! So I took it into my own hands….

From the breeders point of view, lack of caring, loving, etc, her life would definitely not exist right now…me on the other hand could not, knowing that there is treatment for her, 85/90% success rate, potentially a puurfect outcome, I would choose this. And this is why I asked for help.

Anyway she is doing quite well, as well as can be expected. Eating, having her meds nightly. Surviving as best as she can in her circumstances. 😥

I’ve lost a lot of hope in the cat “world” in the last week. It’s been not only emotionally draining but also financially and time consuming with back and forth 1hour trips to the specialist.

Not sure what if the cat breeding world will be with us for long…there a whole new perspective of life, people and gratitude at this time in our lives….

Hello my fur Fam…
I’m in a bit of a pickle.
We purchased 2 girls recently for breeding queens and 1 has developed FIP. After spending $1200 this week to determine this (plus her purchase price) her treatment is going to be $5k as she needs 84 days of tablets…😥
The breeder is willing to supply another queen to us which is great but not wanting to treat her (I get it-it’s a lot of money with a potential fatal outcome)
I’m looking at doing a go fund me-would everyone be able to make a small donation to help support some of her costs of her treatment? If everything works out well, she will be available to someone’s purfect pet 😻

Hello my fab fur family!
Just dropping in for an update on our cattery circumstances…
You may or may not know of the “person” we shall call her that and be nice 😑 Who thought to dob me into the local council for payback of her, losing her job…

Yesterday the council paid us a visit. We are still in the process of filling out questionnaires and obtaining documents but first things first, she was absolutely impressed with our housing set up for my queens and of course Reginald my stud. Winner winner chicken dinner!

I am now registered with the FCCQ, my girls all have papers and now my cream stud will too. Not that this makes a difference to the “actual” kitten unless you want to breed or show but at least it’s all legit. Oh and we will need to desex before leaving home which means a little longer at home and a little increase in price to cover this…

Next-if everything is finalised and approved I have secured 2 more kittens…a little brown girl Sienna and a lilac tortie Evie. Plusssssss!!! A cream boy who is ready to have some fun 🙊

Once all is approved I will update everyone with new pics and info, thanks for reading my long post lol
