Oreo is four months old and he already knows.
Before his eyes could see which hand, his nose had already decided.
Dogs are scent-driven eaters. It's not a preference, it's biology. When a dog turns their nose up at a treat, most people assume their dog is being difficult.
They're not. The treat just isn't giving them anything to work with.

I hate rawhide. I always have.
I know what it is. I know what goes into making it. And I made a decision a long time ago that it would never be something I sold.
But my dogs eat everything. So I figured -- let's actually test it.
Indy had rawhide for the first time ever. She gets TDT every single day.
She dropped the rawhide mid-chew. Twice.
Not because she's fussy. She's really, really not.
Because her nose knows the difference between real food and something that was never food to begin with.
It's not your dog. It's the treat.
