Today is World Animal Day, yet how can we say “Happy World Animal Day” when millions of animals die every single day, not from disease. They die because humans demand their flesh, their milk, their fur.
How can we “celebrate” animals when we murder them in their millions? We take from them every instinct, every action they were born to do, and trade their life for taste and convenience.
How do we celebrate a day meant for compassion while animals spend their short lives in cages and concrete sheds, born only to be slaughtered before they ever truly live?
Their screams are silenced by industry walls.
Their suffering disguised by packaging and marketing.
Their deaths dismissed as “necessary.”
There is nothing necessary about cruelty.
There is nothing humane about a system built on suffering.
So today, we don’t say “Happy World Animal Day."
We say enough.
Enough excuses.
Enough hiding.
Enough pretending we care about animals while consuming their pain.
If this day means anything — let it mean change.
Because the most powerful way to honour animals is not with words but with action. Leave animals off your plate. Do better!
