Anzac Day!
Today we celebrate the freedom that was handed to us by the fallen before us. We all have so much freedom in this country and it is all because of these men and women that have given the greatest sacrifice. They left there families for the unknown horror that they were about to experience, they all deserve our respect and to be held at the highest regard. What was asked of them, was inhumane and the sacrifices and choices they had to make whilst under horrible circumstances was heroic. They achieved the goal! To keep our beloved Australia the country of freedom, we all enjoy and love.

The simplest forms of freedom to me are the most cherished. Galloping a horse and feeling the fresh air blowing in my face, or standing on my small patch of dirt and admiring that it’s my patch of dirt! Going through the gears in an old 18 speed up the road with a load of fresh hay on the back for my cows at home. None of this would be felt without the sacrifices made by our warriors, true hero’s!

Today is a day we be thankful, proud and grateful to be Australian!

Low sugar teff hay. The post is up, the day is tomorrow for small loads!
Heavy bales, beautiful and green. Selling in mixed loads on trucks, will be doing a small load pick up day as soon as I can. Keep an eye on the page for this.
Trucks are to call for orders, be kind, if I don’t answer leave a message, I’ll call you when I can. I’m in a fire zone and service is terrible. All other hay available.

Edit: All the questions coming in about the small load pick up day, the information will all be provided on the post I do. I can’t answer all the messages, I promise all the info will be on that post. I understand people maybe desperate for different types of hay and I feel for you guys but I’m one person. I have a fair bit on my plate at the moment!
Cheers Erin

Ive turned the comments off. Very clearly I want the fire brigade to know Im grateful to all of them. My post clearly states in the first sentence that I am angry that our Premier got on TV gloating about how wonderful the app has been for her. Whether it be reception or the app its self its clear to me and many others that so kindly shared their crappy experience that we weren’t getting the warning messages, Im really happy for the people that did but next time you maybe the unlucky one. Nothing will change if it is not acknowledged that any warnings were coming through. Not radio, nothing. To all the people saying my fire plan was s**t, I obviously did use my common sense as thats all I had and so did many others. Maybe look at your own humanity if you think it’s ok that you got the messages and others didnt!

Can anyone high light on this post where I’m slagging the fire brigade? This post was made after I seen a news article on YouTube. A journalist asked our premier a question regarding the fact that not everyone is getting the warnings. She dismissed it and said she was, and didn’t answer or have any regard for people that weren’t. That is why I’m angry.

The wonderful App that our Premier was gloating on TV yesterday, that’s advising her with all the warnings is still not showing the burnt area from the Axe creek fire that went behind my farm. Unbeknownst to me at the time as I was watching the harcourt fire 1 km in front of my farm, this one was probably closer as the blokes have said that have been up there. A lovely friend Jodie sent me this map. From what I can work out the yellow is the other fire and the red mark is my farm in the middle, not burnt yet, with the harcourt fire in front. My emergency app has been up to 12 hours behind at times, I would come out of my farm and find the police had shut the road off and I was in there like a sitting duck! I drove my horse float through fire. I’m 100 kms on a hill, from Melbourne 20 kms from Bendigo with no radio, nothing. I understand the tower maybe damaged but don’t be on TV telling people you’re safe to go by this information. I was 100% not safe. (I seen the news on YouTube when I come to town).

* Update. For anyone commenting, not to rely on the apps. My point is our Premier is gloating on TV that the App is so wonderful. It’s not going to get better for anyone that’s rural if it’s not acknowledged that it’s not f*****g wonderful!!!! I’m angry, people have been stranded with no warning. Anyone can say get out early. How early? People are trying to save their livelihoods and loved ones. The app was often 12 hours behind. It’s still nearly 4 days behind with one at my back fence!!!

In 1983 I was in Ash Wednesday fires, we never lost ABC radio! Think about that? I wasn’t in the city!!!!

Edit: update. I did the wrong address on my map I was in the red zone. The fire was 1.2 kms from my farm. Any wonder I am struggling to breathe today with smoke inhalation. My cows are safe at the moment but concerned about the wind change this arvo. There are definitely still spot fires everywhere. I hope everyone else has got through it so far. Thankyou to everyone for their offers, I’m very appreciative. Last night I didn’t want to put anyone else at risk. One of my friends just turned up, I’m really grateful!

There was a drunk driver hit a water truck on Axe creek Rd, the car was on gas but did at least 3 explosions. This fire was what reduced my time frame of getting my animals out, significantly. So there were 2 fire fronts coming at me and my farm. Thankyou so much for everyone’s prayers, that’s all
I was left with. Xx

Update 2: sorry i tried to update last night but obviously it didnt work, the cows are doing amazing. Personally im buggered but Im giving it my best shot, asthma has been my hardest thing to combat, my steroid pumps about to retire, haha. Oral steroids have helped me breathe easier.
Im so grateful to all the prayers, positive thoughts and messages to kerp going, the wind keeps on coming and wants to keep steering it my way, so bsbk in to it today!
The police, firefighters, volunteers, choppers and general people pulling together have been amazing and are the heros of this thing.
Theres been a real lack in any available warnings, my place is on a hill. All have is the emergency app. But even on that i had a close fire warning at 5.23 pm last night and got the message this morning at 6.30 pm. There is no radio out there to listen too, i am 20kms from bendigo and i can see the Melbourne lights at night, normally. Im suprised there is nothing. I didnt know last night my road had been closed by police until i come out, I feel like a sitting duck!
Photos added on are all within about 20 kms but some are as close as 1 km! Thankyou again everybody for your support and i truly hope everyone is safe again today. Erin xx

Prayers are needed for my 3 horses and cows tonight. I couldn’t get them all off. The purple is my cow farm. I drove through fire to get 5 horses home. S**t when you have to choose. I’m going back in the morning to see if I can get more off because if it doesn’t burn tonight the fire brigade has said it will swing around and probably get me tomorrow. Praying for everyone else. Erin. Xx

Happy New Year to all my customers and Thankyou for your business. I appreciate everyone of you and love chatting with you about the hay and your animals, it’s feeding.

My page, “Quality Hay” is just that, it’s my page and it’s to sell hay or whatever else I want. If people don’t like it, keep scrolling. What I won’t have on my page is bullying, keyboard warriors. Get off the finger tapping and get your body moving and achieve something in life, you’ll find yourself not worried about how many bales are in my photo.

We all have personal s**t happen, life can be tough, but what we don’t know is underneath that smile, can be hurt. So let’s just be kind! I’ll never get on your page and be an ar****le, so don’t come to mine and be one!

This last couple of years I changed to be like everyone else, boring photos of hay! Because I got slammed with the bullies! My New Years resolution is getting me back, if you don’t like it, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. My cheeky, sometimes naughty posts are coming back, because that’s me. We live once, people. I’m not going to apologise for harmless fun in the hay shed. I’ve never been called predictable!

Oh and yes I’m a woman, my body parts are womanly, I’m not apologising for that either. I’m confident and happy and I’ve never been shy! I’m always keen to learn and will talk about just about anything, to anyone. Manners are free and never hurt anyone, I’ll give you 100% of what you give me.

Tell me your resolution and why, write me a story book, full of positivity for the year to come!
Cheers Erin xx
