Natural Hoofcare Provider working in and around Bendigo Victoria. Completed Cert 3 in Hoofcare with Australian Certified Equine Hoofcare Professionals. I believe keeping the hoof regularly trimmed is paramount to achieving and keeping soundness. Maintenance trims are performed from as little as three weeks to as long as five to six weeks depending on hoof growth and wear rates. I will schedule a f

ollow-up appointment at the time of trimming so have your diary ready. Education is important to me and I will do my best to share what I'm doing and why. I also attend professional development throughout the year in both hoofcare and horsemanship. I have been lucky enough to attend clinics with Pete Ramey, Daisy Bicking and David Landerville. I’m happy to handle the young, those with limited handling or those with an old injury which makes trimming uncomfortable for them. I will take whatever time it takes to ensure that the horse is happy and that a good trim is achieved.

What she said lol. Hoof trimming should be simple, but it’s not easy.

Hoof protection is hoof protection. Technology advances in every sport, why do those in charge of equestrian disciplines not allow for changes to be made? Especially as it is for the welfare of the horse.

I have started this petition to get peoples support on changing not only PCAQ but Pony Club Australia and EA rules in regards to (607 signatures on petition)

I’m very picky about the clients I take on and keep. Positivity and Joy is my love language.

I’m very picky about the clients I take on and keep. Positivity and Joy is my love language.

Some days, our job as hoofcare providers is sunshine and rainbows. We arrive to barns with happy horses, kind owners, and a fulfilling sense of progress with the feet we see.

Some days, our job is draining, physically and emotionally. We see struggling horses, and frustrated owners desperate for an answer.

Some days, our job is mentally exhausting or frustrating. We have horses we want to help, but circumstances (turn out environment, diet, etc) don't allow us to see the progress we know we could.

How our day goes can be changed in an instant by the horse owner's words, attitude, and demeanor. I was talking about some cases recently with a hoofcare friend and she said something like "it's always nice to have those owners who just infuse joy into your day."

Whether that means listening to our suggestions about diet/treatment for hoof issues etc, or making sure your horse stands well to be worked on, we love working with owners who trust us and help us do our jobs wells.

Thank you to the amazing owners that "infuse joy" every time I see them, and remind me why I love this. You're part of what makes this job so rewarding.
