𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲 🌟

𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗴𝗲𝗿 joins us from Kyabram, VIC. Julia is a third-generation dairy farmer and grew up on the family farm, Adadale Jerseys and Holsteins in Kenilworth, QLD.

Working alongside her family from a young age, Julia became deeply involved in showing cattle, where her passion for the dairy industry was first ignited. After completing her tertiary education, Julia returned home to work with her parents, continuing to build on the family business. Over the years, Julia has travelled extensively across Australia, attending International Dairy Week, Royal Shows, and State Shows. She has prepared and presented teams of cattle for both her family and other studs. Her passion has also taken her overseas, where she has worked alongside highly regarded studs in the USA and New Zealand.

Julia was proud to be part of the first Australian team to participate in the Young Breeders School in Battice, Belgium. More recently, Julia and her fiancé Darren, relocated from Kenilworth to Kyabram, where they continue to grow and strengthen the Adadale herd.

Julia’s judging career has commenced in recent years, and appointments include the prestigious Sherri Martin Showmanship class at International Dairy Week, as well as the Youth Challenge at International Dairy Week, and the Brisbane Royal Show. Julia has also served as the official Judge of the Youth Show at the NSW State Jersey Show.

Lets welcome Julia! 👏

🎬🎥𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗿! 🎥🌏

We’re offering a unique, hands on media experience working alongside seasoned broadcaster and Channel 7 journalist, Casey Treloar. This opportunity is designed to give a student real world exposure to event media coverage in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on storytelling.

We are looking for a motivated student who is eager to learn and contribute to how the event is shared with broader audiences across digital and broadcast platforms.

You will have the chance to:
🌟 Assist with live-streamed interviews throughout the event
🌟 Support the creation of engaging, real-time social media content
🌟 Capture photography, video, and short-form content as the event unfolds
🌟 Observe and assist with on-the-ground journalism and broadcast production
🌟 Gain insight into how media professionals prepare, film, and deliver event coverage

This is a rare opportunity to gain first hand experience in a professional media environment while working alongside industry professionals. We strongly encourage students considering a future in media, communications or agricultural journalism to apply.

No prior experience is required! Just bring your enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to get involved.

✨ There is also potential for this opportunity to lead to future involvement at International Dairy Week in January.

𝘼 𝙁𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝘽𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙧

It is with a mixture of both sadness and excitement that, after 12 incredible years, we have made the decision to pass on the baton for the Victorian Winter Fair (VWF) to the team at International Dairy Week.

As founders of this event, it’s not easy to say goodbye, but we are filled with pride as we look back on everything that the show has achieved. The VWF began as a simple idea shared between four friends Clare and Stu Modra, Adam Dee, and Rus Robins, during a casual evening over a meal and a few beers. What started as a lighthearted conversation about creating something special in our industry quickly blossomed into a full-fledged event. Initially, the show was only intended to be a one-off event, but as often happens with great ideas, the industry had other plans.

Each year, the VWF grew beyond what we could have imagined, becoming a major event that brought together farmers, exhibitors, sponsors, and dairy enthusiasts from all over. What started as a small gathering turned into a must-attend event on the agricultural calendar, and that growth wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of everyone involved. From our dedicated exhibitors to our loyal sponsors, and of course, the magnificent Holstein cow at the heart of the show, each of you has played a crucial role in making this event what it is today.

Looking back on all the memories, the late nights of planning, the excitement of seeing the show come together, and the joy of seeing new friendships forged every year, we feel incredibly grateful. It’s been a labour of love, and it’s something we will always hold close to our hearts. As we pass on the responsibility to new owners, we are confident that the VWF will continue to flourish in the years to come. We’ve seen the passion and commitment that the team from IDW brings to the table, and we have no doubt that they will take the show to new heights. We wish them nothing but success and are excited to see where they take the event in the future.

To everyone who has supported the Victorian Winter Fair over the years, we want to express our deepest thanks. You have all been part of the story, and your involvement has made this journey so special. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or joined us along the way, we appreciate your contributions and your passion for the industry. Here’s to a bright future for the VWF, and to all of you who’ve made it possible. We’ll be cheering on the next chapter from the sidelines, filled with pride for what we’ve built together.

Kind Regards
Clare and Stu Modra
