It’s been a busy week so this post is coming a little late…
We headed to Seymour and our stable champ Read My Lips got the choclates under a gun ride by Lachy King. Scoring his second win now, the boy we call Louie brings his total earnings up to $71,610 from 2-5-2. He now heads off for a well deserved break and shall be back on the turf leading up to Spring.

Today the team headed to Alexandra Race Club with 2 and we came away with a win and a 2nd place. Calypso Rich doing what he always does and trying his best, taking out race 6. Luna Landing finished 2nd in a bob of the head photo finish in the previous race.

Winner winner! 💥💥💥
Today we headed to Yea Racing and took out the Reddrops Foodworks Yea Guineas with the old chap of the stable Calypso Rich.
We’d like to thank Rob Kirkpatrick for a brilliant ride, he gave old Bob a beautiful run. We would like to thank Tracey Johnson who has taken her time to come up to Benalla thru the weeks to work him. We really appreciate the time she takes out to help us work our runners. Many thanks to Shelley Kirkpatrick who again was such a big help in the stalls throughout the day, as was our dear neighbour/owner Jim. Also, as always thankyou to our son Matthew, we couldn’t do what with do without you. Thank you everyone ❤️ Thanks to the club for putting in a great day and to the sponsors, we will definitely enjoy the drop of local trophy wine.

Picnic Racing is back!
What a wonderful first day we had to kick off the new season. Taking 3 runners to Lockhart Picnic Races, coming home with 2 winners in SIMMONTAVI and CALYPSO RICH and a 3rd placing in the Cup with MR FAIRBANKS.
Many thanks to our pilots Rob Kirkpatrick, Ms Izzy Neale and Ms Kate Petersen for their wonderful rides. Appreciation shoutout and so much thanks to those behind the scenes, Tiff Kirkpatrick and Milos Bunjevac. Without you guys it wouldn’t be made possible. To our son Matthew who is there every morning on the ground day in and day out, we couldn’t do what we do without you.

Great day out today at Echuca Racing Club bringing home a 3rd placing with Mr Morley and a 4th place with Read My Lips. Both horses coming back from a lengthy time off, Mr Morley going into his run without a trial and Read My Lips with just the 1 trial. Today was all about getting them fit and we were thrilled with their runs. Thank you so much to Miloš Bunjevac and Caitlin Hollowood for giving these 2 boys wonderful rides.

A wonderful result yesterday with Luna Landing getting the win at Tocumwal Race Club. A big thank you and well done to Jayden Barrie for piloting him home and congratulations to owner Saul Wilson.

Well the season has started happily for all at Pembrook Farm our first 3 runners for the season on Melbourne cup day produced a winner in Mr Morley a second with Calypso Rich (great run) and a fifth with Awesome Senora, very proud of our charges. Mr Morley is such an honest horse. He also won a beautiful silver trophy and to make it special our gorgeous girl Erica did a fantastic job strapping them all and also won a Strapper's award with Mr Morley for best presented horse in the mounting yard. All were ridden perfectly by Rob Kirkpatrick. Great crowd, great day, very proud of the whole team including our Matthew who held the fort at home with the other horses. Long may it continue !!!!🏇🏆

Well our beautiful boy Paddy finally received his race name recently he shall now be known as THE VIOLINIST. As you can see in the photos he is growing nicely and will be broken in in the next few months. Then he will have some education then go back out to the paddock to grow and strengthen some more before we get him back in to see if he can run, he has Redoutes Choice/Written Tycoon blood in him so here's hoping. He was sick recently a touch of pneumonia but we caught it in time and with some treatment for a couple of weeks and the excellent help from the vet's and our daughter Erica who is training as a vet nurse and our Son Matty, he is now back in good health and as cheeky as ever !! We have also just put 8 horses back into work with another new one on the way (Mighty Minnie) who should arrive this week so full steam ahead now to get ready for the spring and summer country racing. So our team will be Mr Morley, Calypso Rich, Troubled Times, Awesome Senora, Mighty Minnie, Lord Pembrook, Curnow, Vesnina and Hartzer Park. With Violets Letter, Dawn Symphony, The Violinist and Read My Lips to come into work over the next 6 to 8 months so busy times ahead.

Today we headed off to Echuca with Mr Morley (pictured here in his previous colours) uncertain with how he would go on the heavy ground as we
knew it wouldn’t really suit. A 5th placing but a very happy 5th. Guided by a great ride from Cory Parish, he made ground at the end and it was a pleasing result. He will now be looking at taking the Winter off and coming back bigger and stronger in the warmer dryer months. It hasnt been easy getting to where we want to be, very small steps and a set back here and there. Thanks to everyone’s support and a huge thanks to Saul Wilson who takes time to come out and ride this boy work.

Our horses go to the track in style now in the new float. Jane (Paddy's full sister) just started her education. And our race colors. Trials on Tuesday, all happening.
