I grew up in Benalla on a small property and have owned horses and cattle from a young age. I have been a veterinarian working in the local area for almost 7 years, and have recently started working for myself. As well as a veterinary science degree, I have an animal science degree, which focuses on heard health and improving production and profitability of farming enterprises. I have a clinic at 65 barkly st Benalla however I also work out of my vehicle and offer a wide range of competitively priced services for both small and large animals. Feel free to call me for veterinary advice, to make an appointment or to just ask for a price!

Happy Vet Nurse day 💕

We are truly blessed with the best here at Barkly street vets.
Every day these amazing women are the wheels behind this operation!
When you enter reception and are warmly greeted by Jo whilst she eases your pets nerves with treats and cuddles, or Joelle and her therapy dog Nelly who will instantly put you at ease.

If you look behind the scenes you’ll probably find Emma, doting over our hospital patients and meticulously planning the surgery day, Sophia closely monitoring anaesthetics and polishing teeth. Matisse thoroughly flushing wounds, and running the lab.
Simone managing the whole operation, making sure things behind the scene are running smoothly and out helping with horse dentals.

They deal with it all! Bites, scratches, bodily fluids, lots of cleaning, emotional and challenging cases, all while navigating the mental health challenges in our industry.

It’s messy, exhausting and rewarding, but we do it for the animals and clients we love. Shoutout to all the incredible vet nurses out there! You deserve so much love! 💕🐾

🦠PARVOVIRUS ALERT🦠

This week we have unfortunately diagnosed a puppy with Parvovirus. The puppy is currently undergoing treatment and is in a critical but stable condition. We can assure you that it is safe to enter the clinic as we have a strict isolation and biosecurity protocol and he is of no threat to any other animals at the clinic.

But unfortunately, this does mean that there is definitely Parvovirus in town, which is a risk to other unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated puppies and dogs.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call, most of your questions will be answered in the image below🐾

⏰ Temporary change of hours from 15/6/26-1/8/26 ⏰

We will temporarily be reducing our opening hours to close at 5:30pm until the beginning of August.

Some of our staff are taking a very well deserved break over winter, and to make sure we can continue to deliver you the best service possible, we will be making sure our staff are not overworked during this time.
Thank you so much for your understanding! ❤️

Our clients are the best ❤️

Whilst waiting for little Snowys IV fluids to run in, Dr Jade finally got to sit down, and kindly given a cup of tea and a blanket, whilst catching up on some notes!

And we are pleased to report the cheeky pony is feeling much better today 🐴
