Full time/Part time Experienced Vet Nurse Wanted!

We are hiring!

Bega and Cobargo Veterinary Hospital are looking for an experienced and qualified Veterinary Nurse to work in their busy Bega Hospital. Completion of Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing is desired but not essential, with at least 2 years practical experience. We will not be accepting any trainee applications at this time.
Bega Veterinary Hospital is a busy mixed practice, seeing approximately 70% small animals in the clinic and 30% large animals. Our clinic opening hours are 8am to 5:30pm every weekday and 9am to 12noon Saturdays. The position can be either part or full time for the right candidate, working up to a 4 day week. We have a modern Veterinary Hospital offering a busy surgery schedule (including orthopaedic surgery), digital radiography (including dental radiography), ultrasound, equine and small animal dentistry, emergency care, large animal services, exotics and wildlife. We have an exotic animal specialist who visits the hospital on rotations and 7 mixed practice veterinarians. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, empathetic and have excellent customer service skills. Be able to have the ability to work efficiently both, within a team and individually, listen well to instructions and the willingness to learn. Be friendly with a good sense of humour and a can do attitude is a must. A minimum P1 licence is also required for this position.
What we can offer you;
• Above award wage pay - pay depending level of experience & qualification
• Unlimited cuddles with our clinic cat
• Snacks and coffee
• A fun inclusive team environment

Bega Beef Co-op would like to present the Bega Veterinary Hospital with a Certificate of Appreciation, for supporting the Bega Beef Co-op recent petition The survival of the Bega Saleyards, by providing a place for the community to sign the physical petition boards.
Bega Beef Co-op recognize the long service to the Bega Valley and surrounding regions.
Peter Alexander and I presented the Certificate to Dr Luke Dawson, Matt Weston and Sophie Brocklesby.

The Bega Veterinary Hospital (Bega Vets) can trace its origin back to Dr Peter Royle who was brought to the Bega Valley by Bega Cheese in the early 1950's. Peter was soon joined by his younger brother Straun and together they built up veterinary services that stretched to the north of Tilba, west to the Monaro and south to the Victorian border.

Bega Vets now operate from a purpose-built veterinary hospital in Bega, in addition to a well-equipped office in Cobargo. Bega Vets is a multi- veterinarian practice and is one of only two practices on the Far South Coast of NSW that provides a genuine 24-hour service to clients and visitors to the Bega Valley. (Treating small and large animals)

Finding a veterinarian "after hours" is becoming increasingly difficult in many country towns in rural Australia, and we are extremely fortunate to have Dr Luks Dawson and Dr Nicky Patrickson dedicated to running and providing such a service.

The Bega Veterinary Hospital is a general mixed animal practice with a large staff of veterinarians, highly qualified veterinary nurses and admin staff and provides a broad range of services.

The Bega Veterinary Hospital recognizes the importance of having the Bega Saleyards close to Bega. The saleyards generate a large number of local jobs both directly and indirectly and has a muli-function that cannot be underestimated. Without this essential community asset many cattle would be needlessly trucked great distances.
