🤩 Meet The Agisters!

A little bit about you…
🦄 My name is Daisey. I am 11 years old and a year 6.

Tell us about your horse…
🦄 My horse’s name is Pearl, she is a 12 yr old Perlino Quarter horse and is 14.2 hands.

Why do you love her?
🦄 I love Pearl because she is sweet, beautiful and kind and would never want to hurt me.

What type of horse activities do you do and want to do?
🦄 I want to do western riding and showing. I ride around the arena with her and sometimes dinky my little brother and cousin on her.

Can you share a memory with us?
🦄 A good memory was the first time I trotted her in the arena. Also, when I was cleaning her yard when I had a moon boot on, and the plastic bag to cover it filled with lots of muddy water.

Does anyone help you with her?
🦄 My mum helps me and she is very good at helping me learn how to ride her and train her.

What’s your fave thing about Fortunate Farms?
🦄 My favourite thing about Fortunate Farms is that people help each other and there is a toilet.

Meet The Agister! 👋

🌹 Hi my name is Rose. I work at Woolworths in the online department. I'm 35 years old. I'm a huge animal lover, have 3 cats at home and a beautiful dog.

What’s your horses’s name, breed, colour and age?
🌹 My horse is named Bella, or as we call her (Bella, Bella, Mortadella). She is a Quarter Horse, grey and 5 years old.

What type of horse activities do you do or want to do?
🌹 I've been training Bella to do showmanship and I lunge her to keep her fitness up.
I'm really excited to start riding Bella and taking her to shows.

If your horse was on a dating site, how would they describe themselves?
🌹 I'm pretty, grey, tall, and I love food. I have a great attitude but I do get impatient when I'm bored, but I do like to please everyone so I get a little upset sometimes, but don't let that scare you away, I'm a lot of fun.

Why do you love her?
🌹 I love Bella, she's so kind hearted, she is gentle, wouldn't hurt a fly. She sees me walking up to her and calls out or I'll call her and she'll walk up to me. I can walk up to her, don't even have to put a halter on her and she will just follow behind me. We have a beautiful bond that formed very fast and she's teaching me a lot.

Does anyone else help you attend to your horse?
🌹 Yes, my partner comes and helps me feed, helps at horse shows even cleans up her p**p 😂. I have Kayla who helps me a lot. She's my trainer, she trains Bella, and I have the wonderful girls that help feed Bella in our feed group.

Is your partner very ‘horsey’?
🌹 Dillon likes them but I wouldn't say he is horsey, but he is learning, he he.

Your favourite thing about Fortunate Farms?
🌹 My favourite thing about Fortunate Farms is, it's so beautiful there, it's like my second home, it's peaceful there, everyone is so lovely and when I'm down it's the best place to be. I've known Kayla and Sally for a long time and they have been amazing to me.

Meet The Agister 👋

🎗️ Hi, my name is Anni. I am a beauty therapist who has a new salon and company in Queens Park. I am a massive animal lover. My zoo includes 2 cats (one is 20), 2 dogs, 4 pythons and the 2 horses. I am a state archer and specialise in traditional bows.

Tell us about your horses…
🎗️ I have 2 horses Beelzebub and Mazikeen (Blue and Maze for short). Amber leases Maze for life because Maze hates me 🤪 bloody mares. Maze is a 15yo Thoroughbred and Blue is a 6 year old Standie. Both are bay.

What activities do you do?
🎗️ I am big on endurance and bush bashing. However I am working on training Blue for mounted archery.

If your horse was on a dating site, how would they describe themselves?
🎗️ “Profile Name: Bluey the Standardbred
Age: 6 years (but I act like a 2-year-old)
About Me: Hey there! I’m a Standardbred with a personality as big as my appetite—just don’t expect me to eat neatly. Who has time for that when there are scratches to demand? I’m basically a furry vacuum cleaner at mealtime!
Interests: Scratches: I’m basically a scratch addict. The more, the merrier!
Tractors: I love to spook at them! It’s like a surprise party every time one rolls by.
Water: I’ll pretend to hate it until I’m in it—then it’s splash city, baby! Good luck getting me out; I’ll be having the time of my life!
What I’m Looking For: I need someone who can handle my messiness (food and otherwise) and appreciates my “unique” sense of humor about floats—seriously, who thought those were a good idea? If you love a little chaos and lots of laughter, let’s trot into some fun together!”

Any silly or quirky behaviour?
🎗️ Will only go into float with bribery of a full bucket of food… that he doesn’t actually want. Will only pigroot into canter but it’s in slow motion.

Why do you love him?
🎗️ Because he’s a doof with enough sass to floor someone, but reins it in so that my littles can play with him. His real favourites are my littles.

What memory stands out?
🎗️ Before I got Blue I was getting out of horses, I was actually dropping off my eventer to his new home, Blue was in a stall and he grabbed and tore my Intimo cardigan ($200) and tore it, then proceeded to pull me and he’d rub on my shoulder. That was it, sold!

What’s your fave thing about Fortunate Farms?
🎗️ I love our paddock. I love having space for Blue and Maze so they can just be horses. Where we were before the paddocks were tiny!

MEET THE AGISTERS 👋🏼

Hi, I’m Kylie Van Uden, 30 years young. Outside of my horse world, I am a Parks and Environmental Technical Officer.

What are your horse’s names, breed and age?
🔆 Monty - 24 years - Anglo Arab - Chestnut
Monty is my first horse ever, horse. I’ve had him since I was 15. For his age, he is looking mighty fine and feeling especially fresh the majority of the time as well!! Currently, he is a paddock ornament and a lawn mower! He loves his food, always has and always will. I always did endurance riding with Monty, back in 2011 we were runner up horse and rider for WA. We completed a 160km ride in 2017 and did it in 16hrs 48 mins and came in 3rd middleweight. That will always be the highlight for my riding career with him!!

Randall - 4 years - Quarter Horse - Palomino
I got Randall back in October 2023, he was backed a year before I got him and then put into a paddock and nothing was done with him. It was back to basics and then he did his first barrel race in March at Wagin rodeo and then I did my first ever grand entry with him, this one the first time in a arena with hundreds of people around the fences, second time carrying a flag and he was absolutely amazing!

What type of horse activities do you do?
🔆 Randall is my barrel racing horse and my up-and-coming horse to do more events on. Currently I am just enjoying him and learning all about him. I am the rodeo Queen of Western Australia 2024, so Randall is also my grand entry horse, we carry the Australian flag to the national anthem at every rodeo in WA. Randall loves his job; he also loves the attention and spotlight on him. When he goes into the arena, his ears are pricked forward and it’s show time!
Monty is retired and is a horse I could pull out the paddock for anyone to have a ride on.

Do they have any funny, silly, quirky or annoying behaviours?
🔆 Monty is an absolute crack up. He loves his food. If you walk past his paddock, he will neigh at you thinking that you have food for him. Randall is still a baby, so you can only imagine how baby horses are, he is so sweet and loving and just wants to be a part of everything I’m doing!

Why do you love them?
🔆 They make me happy and when I’m having a rough day they’re always there to make me happy. Horses are my life and will always be my life.

What’s you goal with your horses?
🔆 To enjoy them and have fun!
Every time I ride Randall, just going into the rodeo arena is a goal ticked!

Why did you move your horses to Fortunate Farms?
🔆 Kayla and Brian 😛
Having been friends with them for a very long time, it’s nice to know that my horses are well looked after at a beautiful property. Plus, I used to agist there when the old property owners owned it, I was there for 5 years. So, I’ve done a full circle and ended back up where I absolutely loved.

Your favourite thing about Fortunate Farms?
🔆 Having been there in the past, I love the property itself, the plane trees lined along the paddocks, the now extra larger undercover arena is amazing!!

Meet the Agisters! 👋

Meet Allysha and her two geldings, Jive and Snail.
Jive is a 7 year old Thoroughbred pictured under saddle.
Snail is a 12 year old Thoroughbred pictured getting a snack.

What type of horse activities do you do?
⭐️ Eventing & show jumping.

Do they have any funny, silly, quirky or annoying behaviours?
⭐️ Jive likes to chew on everything (including my rugs🫣) and snail likes to pull faces at you. They’re the iconic duo of “Tom & Jerry”.

Why do you love them?
⭐️ Because they know how to make my worst days a little better.

What’s your goal with your horses?
⭐️ To get back into competing.

What would you consider your achievements?
⭐️ My boys are ex-racers. Snail has been OTT for about 6 years now and Jive is just over a year now. I think my biggest achievement with Snail would be his jumping, as when I first got him it was an achievement to leave one pole up and now he is quite a nice jumper. My biggest achievement with Jive would have to be being able to ride him comfortably under saddle now, as when he first come OTT he was really reactive to noise and also didn’t have a controllable canter.

What’s your favourite thing about Fortunate Farms?
⭐️ That it’s such a welcoming and relaxing place❤️

A little bit about you…
⭐️ I’m 19 and my current position is a project manager for an engineering company. I use to ride track work full time and now only do it occasionally😊

🏇WERI bakers hill endurance ride 🏇

Thank-you Claire baker and Maestro for taking us on Adele’s “FF LOPIN IN THE DEEP” first endurance ride.

What a great way to expose a young horse to all the elements without any pressures!

Brilliantly run and we had a blast 💥

Fortunate Farms is proud to be breeding the Australian Quarter Horse that can be enjoyed by all no matter the discipline!

Did I mention they also canter soft and slow? 💃🏼

A day in the life of our little Patrick at FF 🐑

What can I say? He’s a busy fella, trimming the rose bushes and tasting the new flower arrangement with Bryson (FF SNOOZE YA LOOZE)

He wears many hats 🎩 Gardner/assistant trainer/ horse feed sampler, string line demolisher, hot wire inspector and quality control carrot sampler🥕

He also enjoy’s doing parkour off the arena wall and testing how broke the breakers are and how high my blood pressure can go! I think I jump more than the horses as they all seem pretty used to patty’s antics.
