🚨 Tick Season Warning! 🚨
Ticks are a serious danger to our pets here in QLD, especially the deadly paralysis tick. These little parasites can cause life-threatening illness very quickly.

✅ Check your pets daily (especially around the head, neck, chest & between toes).
✅ Use effective tick prevention all year round.
✅ Seek veterinary help immediately if you notice wobbliness, weakness, vomiting, or changes in breathing.

From time to time, we have kangaroos brought into the clinic for care. These beautiful animals need gentle handling and expert attention to give them the best chance of recovery.

If you ever come across injured wildlife, please remember to stay safe:
🚗 Always check carefully before getting out of your car.
👀 Be mindful of traffic and your surroundings.
🦘 Approach slowly and keep calm – even injured kangaroos can be strong and unpredictable.
📞 Call ahead if you’re bringing wildlife in so our team can be ready.

🐶🐾 Puppy overload alert! 🐾🐶

We had the absolute cutest visitors at the clinic this week – a whole bucket full of puppies came in for their very first vaccinations and microchips! 🪣✨

Each little fluffball was brave and got plenty of cuddles from our team. 💕 Now they’re all set to start their adventures in the big wide world, happy, healthy, and safe. 🌟

Who else thinks a bucket of puppies is the best kind of bucket there is? 😍🐾

🦜✨ A splash of colour flew into the clinic!

We had the absolute joy of welcoming a stunning conure parrot to Hoof n Paws Vets—and wow, what a beauty! With vibrant feathers and a cheeky personality, this little one stole the hearts of our whole team.

Conures are known for their playful nature and strong bonds with their humans, and this gorgeous bird was no exception. A true feathered superstar!

We love seeing all creatures great and small—from paws to claws to beaks.

Hi everyone! We wanted to let you know that we’re no longer able to accept plastic lids for recycling at this time — The collection place is no longer taking collections! 🧢♻️

A huge thank you to all of you who contributed. Your support has been incredible, and it’s amazing to see how committed our community is to sustainability. 💚

We’ll keep you posted if we’re able to reopen lid collection in the future.

🐾 🐾✨ Puppy’s first big day! ✨🐾
We had the sweetest little visitor in the clinic for their very first puppy vaccination and microchip. 💉🐶 They were so brave and, of course, got plenty of cuddles and love from our beautiful Practice Manager, Pania. 💕

It’s always such a joy being part of these first steps in a puppy’s journey – setting them up for a happy and healthy life ahead. 🐾🥰
