About Bribie Snuffles mats & balls.

When choosing a snuffle mat or ball, keep in mind your pets size, ability and motivation.

Introduction: always supervise and show your pet how to correctly use their new snuffle. Remove the snuffle after use.

Types of Snuffles available:

🔹️ Snuffle Mats (dogs)
have lots of thick fleece on a heavier non slip rubber base. These come in various sizes. The larger the Snuffle Mat, means an increased surface area for your pet to forage through, which increases the time and challenge of the mat. Placement of treats creates varying levels of difficulty. Burying the treats deeper in the mat, breaking treats into smaller pieces, placing the mat in a box or crate to give more depth, adding extra tricky loops and folds of fleece into the mat are all ways to increase the challenge of your mat and keep it interesting for your pet. You can tuck treats all the way down into the little drain holes in the mat for the really intrepid and food-motivated pets. The larger the mat increases the challenge area, thicker and longer fleece strips increase the challenge.

🔹️ Loopy Snuffle Mats (dogs) have lots of fleece with extra loops or folds added on a heavier non slip rubber base. The loops give an increased level of snuffling difficulty.

🔹 ️Snuffle Balls
have lots of fleece on a silicone ball with secret holes of various sizes.
Like a snuffle mat you can increase the challenge.
* Drop some treats loosely inside the ball. The treats fall out when the ball rolls.
* Stuff your dog’s favorite toy/ball inside and have him work it out.
* Similar to the snuffle mat, push the excess fabric strips inside (so the ties are filling up the center). Stuff your dog’s favorite treats inside. Your dog will need to roll and shake the ball to set the treats free!
*Bump up the challenge by rolling treats into paper or fabric strips and stuffing the strips inside the ball.

🔹️ Mini Mats (suited to cats, parrots, guinea pigs, teacup dogs) are smaller in size, lightweight with less fleece on a silicone base.

This is Winston. Winston is our ambassador for Bribie Snuffles. As you can see he is an expert snuffler, taking his time getting into all the nooks and crannies. 10 minutes of full snuffling concentration and he's a happy boy. Even afterwards he'll go back and check to see if he's missed anything.

Snuffle Mats & Balls are great pet enrichment activities. They come with instructions on how to introduce your pet to snuffling and are available in a variety of sizes and styles for dogs and cats.
