My poor darling Mia girl

On Friday I woke to the nightmare of a lifetime with what we think is my beautiful mare being spooked in the storm & jumping the neighbours fence.
I found her alone at 7:30am covered in bloody and stuck in a de-commissioned Water drain filled with wire, trees, thorns and the likes.
She was completely stuck unable to get out, likely been there all night.
My biggest heartfelt gratitude to the Modewarre CFA all volunteers who showed up fast. With vet Kate Richard’s and her amazing capable friend Alyssa Calaby.
We got this horse out miraculously but it was an all day event with Kate and then the vets from Barwon Equine.
The help of Ross and Kim stayed with me for the whole day.
This is a giant thankyou. But also a warning for anyone who has stock near these drains they are deadly.
The mare has come out so far we hope but had a lot of recovery. With fractured teeth, joint wounds and we hope what isn’t a fractured shoulder.
This should have been deadly and could be for someone else.
Don’t want to see the Good Friday vet bill but pray she can stay with us and fight to recover
