🐹 This show is open to all kinds of guinea pigs, pet or pedigree!
🧚‍♀️ A fairytale themed show!

Come along and have a go at showing your guinea pigs! You’ll learn plenty of handy tips and tricks with looking after your guinea pig from our experienced club members whilst having fun. This show is great for beginners and people who are wondering if showing guinea pigs could be for you.

So back home after a massive weekend in Dubbo for the Australian National Cavy Show.

Whilst I didn’t exhibit at the show I did present my girls and Popcorn in the Unstandardised class. It was so nice to see other people’s Baldwins and get to chat with other breeders in the different states. My crew travelled amazingly and were so settled on the journey.

I was very lucky to come home with some new and old faces on the alpaca front. They will get their own post in time 😜

Lastly congratulations to all the winners! Everyone’s cavies were presented beautifully with so much care and dedication.

Catching the plague was not on my 2026 to do list but oh well 😅 I’m feeling a lot more human now but I’m pretty sure I’ll have my cough until 2027.
In the meantime though, how bloody cute are these little babies? It is the best first world problem to have when everyone could be a keeper 🥹🤦‍♀️

Back for another year but the first time it’s not my home show 🥹 Ballarat is honestly so cold I’ve been wearing two pairs of pants to bed.

I will be coming along with some piggies to cuddle as always, alongside some little boys 👀🏡. If you are after some new family friends pop on by.

As always if you’ve purchased piggies from me, I absolutely love seeing them,getting updates and even having a cuddle. It makes my day 💖

Are you ready? Because it’s our first Mega Pet Show of the year! We have been hard at work refreshing our Mega Pet Show classes for you. Same people, same club but a whole new show!

For the first time ever, we are introducing two very requested classes… Lookalike Fancy Dress and Diorama Fancy Dress! There are another 10 new classes as well. Hit the follow button, as we will be doing a post for each class leading up to the show day outlining the class and what the judge will be looking for.

There is something so special about holding this little girl. Maybe I’m being a sook but she deeply reminds me of Koji and Kanji. ❤️🥹

My first alpacas born here in Ballarat and my first litter from Kaisel. I’m so impressed with what he has produced and so excited to watch this girl grow.
4 Elements Galena has done an amazing job producing 7 sows out of 3 litters over her time here at Carnivalé. She is off to retirement now 🫶 thank you to Vin for trusting me with her.

Life looks a little different for me now and it’s required me to take a step back from the piggies for a moment. 6 weeks ago I was offered my dream role and moved up to Ballarat. A lot has been going on behind the scenes and I’m so thankful for everyone’s patience while I’ve navigated this transition in my life.

For the next year, I’ve decided to take a major step back from breeding as I focus on developing my career. I’m so thankful to some amazing ANCC breeders who’ve taken on my best stock to keep my lines going. I still have my beloved Alpacas, Peruvians and Shebas but my short haired cavies have gone to people who are even more passionate than me and truly deserve them 🙆‍♀️💖

This moment has given me a real time to step back and really assess what I like in my cavies, more than just a breed standard but the the intangible qualities like intelligence, friendliness, calmness and confidence. Temperament is so sought after in cavies but genetics are hardly ever acknowledged as a key defining factor.
So this next year will focus on temperament even moreso in the few litters I have planned whilst still being strict on breed standards.

The Baldwins will be worked on carefully throughout this. They are an amazing cavy and deserve to have the utmost care mapped into their genetics whilst in this early developmental phase in Victoria.

This page will continue to operate and I aim to spend some time discussing on cavy care issues alongside cute cavy photos 💖
