Our hospitals offer a comprehensive range of veterinary services, delivered by a compassionate, professional, and experienced team of veterinarians and veterinary nurses. We are a mixed practice (85% companion animals, 10% equine and 5% production animals) and service Bridgetown, Balingup, Mullalyup, Kirup, Greenbushes, Nannup, Boyup Brook, Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe and the surrounding communities. Our focus is on providing quality, evidence based, compassionate medical and surgical care to our patients and exceptional, caring customer service to our patients family.
The Positions
We are seeking two motivated, energetic, compassionate Veterinary Nurses or Technicians to join our team. You will collaborate with our experienced veterinarians in various aspects of our practice, including consultations, hospital care, surgery, radiography, dentistry and client service.
You will be closely involved in coordinating training of the junior nursing team at our Manjimup hospital, as well as being involved in setting up our new Balingup hospital premises ๐ฅ Experience with clinical nursing policy and procedure development would be highly beneficial.
This is a very exciting and rare opportunity to be involved in the transformation of our hospitals under fresh, experienced and energetic new ownership!
The positions are permanent part time with hours negotiable to suit your needs and the hospitals requirements (ideally 25-35 hours per week). Full time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
Our Ideal Candidate
Qualifications in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technology - Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
Experience: Previous veterinary nursing experience is essential. Postgraduate training in fear free practice, dentistry, surgery, anaesthesia, ECC and client communication and relationships will be highly regarded.
Skills: Strong communication skills, adaptability, appreciation of and experience in client and patient centred practice.
Attributes: A positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a team-focused environment.
Availability: Willingness to work Saturdays, occasional weekends, and emergency on-call shifts.
