often get asked what breeds lay all the beautiful colors of eggs in my basket, so I thought l'd finally out together a list for you all. I'm also working on a graphic of who lays what... as soon as I figure out who is laying what
It's hard to catch this
many chickens as they lay, but I have a good many figured out.

To have a rainbow basket of eggs, you need several different breeds. There are some I recommend over others from my personal experiences. For me, it's about personality and egg color. I don't prefer birds that are flighty or aggressive. I'd like to do a breakdown of each of my favorite breeds in the coming weeks, including what it is that I love about them. Stay tuned for that!

hatch is definitely not disappointing. Swipe to see who is laying this gorgeous speckled olive gem, and how a pullet egg compares to a goose egg!
This little lady I believe to be a Silverudd's x Blue Copper Marans based on her coloring and dark slate grey legs. I have a BCM who hangs only with Poe, my Silverudd's roo, so this would make sense. I believe her egg color matches that combo as well! No matter who her parents are, I definitely approve of this pullet and her egg!
