Australian Wagyu Association

Australian Wagyu Association Wagyu offers the finest quality of beef available in Australia. Highly prized for the exceptional meat quality and exquisite marbling!

Wagyu is a unique breed that has amongst its key attributes, other than the exquisite marbled beef quality, a high calving ease, excellent (docile) temperament, resilient in the feedlot and has a high (dressing percentage) carcass yield. Most important is the economic value derived from each animal, which is currently 100% more than pastoral cattle, sold at either the farm gate or as a long fed ca

rcass. Wagyu breeding requires patience as it takes time to build up a viable herd and end markets, this then becomes your own economic moat.

Cohort 1 Sires, Lots 136–207:
✅ Take the guesswork out of breeding decisions by using highly accurate sires
✅ Average trait accuracy of 82%
✅ Data driven confidence - you’re investing in predictability
✅ Max 30 straws per sire available

Hear from below ⬇️
🗣 “It is very comforting to see the results of the 1st cohort of the AWA PTP. Not only does it improve the accuracies of EBVs, it gives us confidence in Wagyu BreedPlan, as there is very minimal re-ranking of sires before and after the data has been submitted. Bishop Wagyu, Koolang Wagyu, 3D Genetics and Quality Genetics international are running parallel test programs — and are seeing matched results for link sire LTCFQ122, now a trait leader for Eye Muscle” – Pete Bishop, Bishop Wagyu
