Sandilands Welsh Ponies is a small Welsh A pony stud, located in the North East Victoria. Specialising in safe, quality children’s ponies.

🌟 HUGE REDUCTION 🌟

Due to family commitments, study, and huge change in life direction, I will be reducing numbers dramatically!
I have a few new ponies ready for their new homes & more coming up over the next few months!

🐴 KARANGA QUEEN OF HEARTS 🐴
Born Oct 2018, rising 6yo Welsh Section A Mare, 11.2hh Grey! Brought her as a prospect broodmare, she was supposed to go in foal last year, but my stallion unfortunately passed before I had time to cover her.
She would also make an excellent riding pony, she is quiet, and an easy keeper. I pulled her out of the 200 acre paddock yesterday, fuss free. Good for farrier & worm, floats well, leads, ties, washes.

Born June 2023, rising 1yo. Weaned c**t. Very friendly, going well. Leads, ties, brushes, picks up feet. Expected to mature 13.3/14hh. Aust Spotted Pony x QH. Will make a very nice riding pony in a few years (mum was a successful pony showjumper). $700

14yo Aust Spotted Pony, 13.3hhwas a successful pony showjumper/piny club mount. Hasn’t been ridden in 5-6 years, was lame on rear hind when in work. Welcome to vet check, has been a very good broodmare since to 3 foals (Sandilands Whisky is last foal). Easy mum, gets in foal well (hand serve or paddock), foals down easily, good mum & easy to wean foal. Currently empty. $500

🐴 DALLU SAPPHIRE 🐴
Born Sept 2011, rising 13yo Welsh Section A Mare. 11.2/3hh approx. Bay mare. Broodmare only.
Has produced the most amazing temperamented foals, the very best of the best. Has had some trouble getting in foal the last year (2 failed natural cycles), vets confirmed it is due to her weight, recommended stripping her weight back & trying again. Nothing else found on basic testing to indicate reason for infertility.
She is a very temperamental mare, doesn’t like to be touched on the face, but is the most excellent mother ever, and my favourite mare on the property.

Born Sept 2021, rising 3yo Welsh x Aust Spotted Pony Mare - 12.3/13hh approx. Chestnut. Has basic handling, leads, ties, floats, picks up feet.
Will make an excellent mount for someone willing to put some time into her. Her mum is an excellent jumper, and PC allrounder!
Unregistered, with service certificate - eligible part welsh registration.

Born yesterday, perfectly timed after all the rain stopped. Mum and bubs are doing well!!
Our mascot Macey 🐶 was dying to meet little Whiskey this morning & got in the first kiss 😘!
