To all colleagues that own and love pets,

Christmas morning has arrived.
We trust you all have some time off over the festive season in the coming days.
Like most, 2025 been a hectic year with some highs and lows - especially when loved ones , family and friends and our pets have been lost.
On the veterinary perspective, I appreciate the genuine relationships with all pet owners, and respect the difficult times you sometimes have to endure with pets.
We now have 6 grandkids from 6 down to 6weeks. So today is an exciting time for all.
So best wishes for today - albeit hot and stormy.
Rod and Kerry

This the revised post created with Chat GPT -- keeping up with technology !!?? Enjoy !?

Hey fellow colleagues with animals,

I hope this Facebook post finds you well! I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the friendships we've built over the years through our shared love for pets and livestock—some of these connections span over 20+ years!

I've been fortunate to enjoy a fulfilling veterinary career for 50 years now. At our recent class of '74 reunion, I was delighted to see some of my classmates still actively involved in veterinary practice. We were encouraged to share short stories of our early experiences in the field (including some amusing mishaps!), which was compiled in a book titled "The Older We Get - The Better We Were."
I look forward to continuing our connections in 2025!

Additionally, many of you are aware of my initiatives with Bremer Battery development at Lower Mount Walker. This endeavor has become a passion for me as I strive to contribute to the transition away from carbon emissions. Regardless of the extent to which individuals are responsible, climate change remains a pressing issue. Many are understandably concerned about rising power prices, and I hope to see positive changes on that front soon.

Wishing you all health, wealth, and happiness in the New Year!

Best regards,
Rod and Kerry S

Dear Friends,
Some historical photos from the 1960s of 4 siblings- when we grew up at Cunnamulla - the liver chestnut was a Brumby? We had a lot of fun like all horse lovers !! May you all have a great Christmas and a better New Year in 2023.

Hi friends of all animals,
I have 3 updates about other things viz-
1. Firstly, I feel for all who have flood damage, and all the aftermath of clean up and financial hardships. So let me know in coming weeks, and I will give help.
2. I have to take a few days off from Thursday for cataract surgery - so not sure when can do general vet activities - however will have my phone on , and will be able to do ‘easy’ stuff. So don’t hesitate to call if you need to.
3. Lastly, a belated thank you for the belated birthday wishes. It’s always appreciated to have good wishes - however i am still wondering how all the years rush bye !!!
Best regards always Rod S

Hello all animal colleagues,
Firstly, I wish you a Happy New Year - 2022. May we all enjoy moving forward with our endeavors,, and your animals stay healthy and safe.
As some of you know , I enjoy books about horses, however this one is good (so far) viz if we eat food, we should be interested in helping farmers !!
And , if you haven’t already read ‘Bill - Australia’s Greatest War Horse’ by Roland Perry - it’s a great weekend read.
Lastly, thank you for your hospitality and friendships that now stretch back 20 years. Best wishes Rod S

Best wishes for the festive season and may there be more winners in 2022!
