Congratulations to the owners of JV Furstin Desire on her Premium status. This mare is out of our lovely Avondale Desire.

Final day! Sun shines again with two studbook mare assessments at Team Williamson

Golda enters the main Hanoverian studbook and she is also now a Sports Performance Mare by virtue of attaining FEI level dressage and producing her ET foal by Fugato Old. Gelato featured in a previous post from the Waikato day.

And the mare on the right is JV Furstin Desire (Furstenball Old / Dacaprio). Bred in Australia and now owned by Wendi and Jon at Team Williamson. She enters the Hanoverian main studbook as a Premium mare 🥇

Want to spend quality time with like minded Ladies who are keen to increase their enjoyment of their riding journey?

We cover groundwork, In hand work, ridden work.

We do some equine therapy so it's not just you that gets some spoiling and love.

We do theory, round table discussions, maybe some woo woo thrown in for good measure!

It is a small group(no more than 5) so everyone gets individual attention. It also allows me to curate a program for each individual partnership so you and your horse get exactly what you need.

Breeding, it can sometimes be a bit of a lottery. Especially if your mare base is weak! To me the mare is most important part of the equation. If I haven’t ridden them, if I didn’t love to ride them or if they didn’t stay sound, I don’t breed them.
Avondale Resolution( Cildara Conquest x Falkland Victory) competed in dressage to State level. Finalist in Qld YH championships. Champion hunter Hack and just generally a fun mare to ride.
Her mother competed to FEI level at State and National level and was a full sibling to Northern Aphrodite who represented Australia.
Will be in the breeding program this season 💖

🦄 I am considering restarting my breeding program this season but am keen to hear from you guys what you are looking for in a foal. I see a quite a few breeders with big name imported frozen semen and high price tags. Whilst we need those breeders and they fill a niche in the market, I am wondering what the ordinary person does for a nice foal without the mega price tag??
What would you most like to see? Wb x ASH for Working Eq, Wb x with GRP, WB with temperament considerations first?
